Bobby Lashley has been out of action since mid-December due to an injury, and a new report has a potentially promising update on his recovery. MVP announced on the December 13th “Winter Is Coming” episode of AEW Collision that the Hurt Syndicate member was injured and would be out of action for a while. Lashley was replaced in the AEW Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale by Shelton Benjamin.

It was subsequently reported that Lashley’s injury was legitimate and not a work. It was said at that time that Lashley was expected to “miss quite a bit of time.” However, Sean Ross Sapp noted in the new Fightful Select Q&A in response to a fan question that Lashley could be back sooner than initially expected. Sapp noted that he has been told Lashley wouldn’t be out as long as initially feared.

Lashley’s most recent match was at AEW Full Gear 2025 in November. He competed in the Casino Gauntlet Match to crown the first-ever AEW National Champion. Ricochet ended up winning the bout and the title.

There is no word on exactly when Bobby Lashley will be back in the ring. On behalf of 411, our best wishes to him for a quick and full reovery.
