Bill Simmons Reveals Best Story That Was Cut Out of Mr. McMahon Docuseries

During the latest edition of the Bill Simmons podcast (via Fightful), host Bill Simmons and David Shoemaker spoke about which deleted story from Netflix’s Mr. McMahon docuseries was the best. They noted that there was so much content from McMahon’s interview that some of it had to be cut for time and pacing.

Bill Simmons: “For me, it was the whole Evel Knievel story that we had to take out.”

David Shoemaker: “Oh, god, that was so good.”

Simmons: “I thought that was so good. I’m gonna try to to see if Chris [Smith] can put that as a deleted scene or something. We had a bunch of stuff from Vince in the 72-76 range that, just for the story, sometimes you have to cut stuff because it’s just better for the way the narrative moves. But you’re like, oh man, I don’t want to lose that. But we lost it.”

Shoemaker: “That Evel Knievel bit, oh my gosh. It was so great. But there’s a lot of that stuff.”
