Blue Demon Jr Announces Upcoming Retirement, Will Reveal Successor in the Spring

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Blue Demon Jr held a press conference last week (December 2) to announce that he will be retiring from wrestling soon. He noted that he plans to name a successor, which would be Blue Demon III, in either March or April. He will then work another year to eighteen months before retiring.

It was noted in Mexico that it’s common for wrestlers to announce their retirement and then backtrack once bookings go up due to demand.
