NXT Level Up preview: Brooks and Jensen to clash with Grizzled Young Veterans
Briggs and Brooks throw down with Grizzled Young Veterans on NXT Level Up
A star-studded edition of NXT Level Up will feature a hard-hitting tag bout pitting Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen against The Grizzled Young Veterans, a spirited singles clash between Guru Raaj and Trick Williams, and Ivy Nile looking to continue her recent path of destruction against Brooklyn Barlow.
Though this will be their first tag team match on NXT Level Up, Zack Gibson and James Drake caught fire in the final days of 205 Live; Drake defeated Bodhi Hayward one-on-one, while the former NXT UK Tag Team Champions knocked off Ikemen Jiro and Kushida in a tag bout.
They’ll eye similar success against the powerful duo of Briggs and Jensen, who have won two out of their last three tandem bouts, knocking off Gibson and Drake themselves and scoring an eye-opening victory against The Creed Brothers. Most recently, Jensen prevailed against Hayward in singles competition, while Briggs toppled Damon Kemp.
What will happen when two of the most physical tandems in WWE match wits and fists on NXT Level Up?
Additionally, the brash Williams is set for one of the bigger tests of his young career when he collides with the more experienced Raaj. Backed by longtime friend and NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes, Williams is looking to tighten the duo’s grip on NXT, while Raaj is hoping to end a recent slump.
Nile, who remains undefeated in singles competition after defeating impressive competitors such as Kay Lee Ray, Valentina Feroz and Amari Miller, brings her take-no-prisoners style to NXT Level Up. She’ll be opposed by the exciting rookie Barlow, who is making her highly anticipated WWE debut.
Don’t miss an incredible episode of NXT Level Up, streaming Friday at 10/9 C on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else!
