Carmelo Hayes Sends a Message to His Fans Following WrestleMania Snub

Carmelo Hayes has a message for his fans who are gutted that he won’t be performing at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas this weekend. Until last month, Hayes looked set to walk into WrestleMania 42 as the reigning WWE United States Champion. However, he shockingly lost the title to Sami Zayn on the March 27 episode of SmackDown, and a title match between Zayn and Trick Williams for WrestleMania was swiftly announced.
Despite that, fans believed that Melo would ultimately be added to the match. Those hopes were shattered when Hayes lost clean to Sami in the rematch the following week. Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely caught up with Carmelo earlier today and asked him what he would like to say to his heartbroken fans.
Melo said that while he doesn’t want the fans to feel bad for him, he feels bad for them, as they have been rooting for him throughout his journey on the main roster. However, Hayes assured his loyalists that he might be delayed but would never be denied. Here’s what Carmelo Hayes said:
“I do feel bad for my fans, man. I don’t want y’all to feel bad for me because one way or another, I’m gonna get it; it doesn’t matter, you know what I mean? I’m too talented to get denied year after year. The last two years, I didn’t make it to WrestleMania, but it won’t happen a third time. I’m just too freaking talented. I feel bad for my fans that have been rooting for me through the ups and downs; y’all seen me get it out [of] the mud literally and get to the top with that US Title. It was great times. We gonna get it, y’all. I will be delayed, but I will never be denied.”
Carmelo recently spoke to Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco on Nightcap about his WrestleMania snub for the second year running. You can read his comment RIGHT HERE.
