TNA Wrestling has re-signed Cedric Alexander in a new contract beyond his initial short-term deal. The new agreement was reached after his previous contract expired around Bound For Glory last fall.
Fightful Select first reported the news, with Sean Ross Sapp confirming that Alexander recently finalized a new deal. The length of it has not been disclosed. Alexander joined TNA television in June 2025 and quickly became a regular presence. His re-signing comes at a key moment as TNA prepares for a busy stretch of events and increased attention around its programming.
He is set to compete at TNA Genesis on January 17 at the Curtis Culwell Center. Alexander will challenge for the TNA X-Division Championship in a triple threat match. The bout also includes current champion Leon Slater and Moose. Alexander earned the opportunity by winning a six-man contender’s scramble on the December 11 episode of iMPACT.
Slater won the championship from Moose at Slammiversary last July. This will be Alexander’s first title shot in TNA. The match was made official by Santino Marella on the January 1 iMPACT!, adding momentum ahead of TNA’s AMC debut.
Outside TNA, Alexander recently reunited with MVP and Shelton Benjamin at WrestleCade. With TNA balancing new talent and major returns, keeping Cedric Alexander with his experience and consistency positions him as a key piece heading into 2026.
