Chad Gable Returns On WWE Smackdown, Apologizes To Rey Fenix

Chad Gable is back on WWE TV, making his return on this week’s WWE Smackdown and apologizing to Rey Fenix. Gable made his return to WWE TV on Friday’s show, appearing first in a backstage segment with Nick Aldis.

Aldis spoke with Sami Zayn and told him to stay away from Cody Rhodes and Gunther after their altercation to open the show. When Zayn tried to press the matter, Aldis said he didn’t have time because he had a meeting, with Gable showing up.

Gable, who was unmasked as Original El Grande Americano at AAA Noche de Los Grandes, later walked up to Rey Fenix and Fraxion. He asked to talk to Fenix and said that he wanted to apologize for wearing the mask for their match at WrestleMania 41.

Gable said that he was frustrated by the luchadores getting the best of him in the ring but that the more that he wore the mask, the more he realized that it was a responsibility and not a joke. He apologized and Fenix said Gable finally got it and he forgave him. He told Gable though that he wasn’t the only person offended.
