Keep Refreshing For The Latest Results

Hello everyone, it’s Friday so it’s time for WWE Smackdown. This event already happened and spoilers can be found HERE if you want to avoid the horror of Hikuleo pinning Powerhouse Hobbs. We’re post Clash in Italy, and the fallout from Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther should take up some time tonight, plus various 4 Way matches are going to be in swing as we do qualifying stuff from King and Queen of the Ring. There’s also the ongoing recruitment effort by Solo and his temu Islanders to Royce Keys, because if there’s one thing we need more of in WWE right now it’s rehashing a story that peaked 3 years ago and has now been going longer than the NWO gimmick did. Seriously, we’re close to the Bloodline BS outliving the entire run of Nitro, all for the Rock to beat Roman at Mania in front of the Saudi overlords. Sami Zayn is still sniffing around the main event scene with his drama that includes both Cody and Gunther, Carmelo Hayes and Ricky Saints are doing the “lets have good matches” thing, Tiffany Stratton has no direction, the tag division is a joke, at least Danhausen is a funny joke as his stuff with Miz and trying to revive a body is ongoing. Still nothing for Jordynne Grace, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ilja Dragunov, or Rey Fenix but Blake Monroe is still showing videos. Alright, that’s the preamble, so let’s hope the episode delivers.

First the usual major event recap. Trips called it WrestleMania worthy and that it changed the landscape of WWE again. How many landscape changes have we gone through allegedly by now? And have any of them actually changed anything?

Michael Cole and Wade Barrett welcome us to Bologna, Italy for the show. We see the usual boring cavalcade of wrestlers walking. Anyone else miss actual intros? Also did we need 2 different clips of the Judgement Day doing generic high school clique things? Just silly.

Gunther shows up as commentary is talking and he throws the predictable tantrum. That goes on until he gets a mic then he says nothing will happen until he gets what he wants. He wants justice for Clash in Italy. Good grief, does every Cody feud have to go this way? Owens, Drew, now Gunther all beating the same drum. Gunther gets interrupted in his tirade by WWE champion Cody Rhodes. Cody gets into the ring and gets a mic, Gunther is standing on an announce table, and says Gunther is right. The crowd sing for Cody for a bit then Cody again says Gunther’s foot was under the ropes but now Gunther is pissed despite being a 20 year veteran who’s had this happen before. Sometimes you’re the hero, sometimes you’re not. But we don’t need to talk, it’s Friday night and the lights are bright and if Gunther wants a rematch for the WWE title Cody will do it right here. That brings out the human wet blanket Sami Zayn to dampen everything. Sami talks his way to the ring and thanks the fans for singing his song as he’s got a lot of ride or die fans in Italy, he appreciates the respect. He really tried to not get involved in this, but at this point Gunther is complaining about being robbed and Sami knows how that feels. Of course Cody’s ready to fight right now, but they’re both ignoring how they did Sami wrong. Gunther says this is champion business and doesn’t involve a pile of garbage like Sami. Sami is in the ring and admits he’s never been world champion, but he has beaten Gunther for a title before. Cody doesn’t know which Sami is here now, he knows Sami is a good guy but Cody’s a little busy with Gunther. Sami says this is why their friendship is like this, Cody always blows Sami off when things get hairy. Sami calls himself the biggest threat to Cody’s title, Cody beat Gunther and now is he going to teach Sami a lesson? Gunther puts Cody in a Sleeper hold, Sami shows up to attack Gunther but Gunther tosses him out of the ring easily. Cody and Gunther brawl a bit, Sami then pulls Gunther out of the ring, Cody with a suicide dive but Gunther shoved Sami into Cody’s way and then scurried away. Cody apologizes and offers a hand to Sami, Sami ignores him and walks off. Decent segment but stretched a bit too long given that we already knew Gunther was getting a rematch.

In the back Miz walks around talking on the phone to Kit Wilson. Miz finds a hijacked electrical cable and follows it to find Danhausen’s workshop. Danhausen warns him not to touch things while in a bathrobe. Miz touches a few things to make a mess but eventually gets electrocuted. Solid overall comedy.

To the ring and here’s Raquel Rodriguez along with Liv Morgan, but Morgan doesn’t head to the ring with Raquel. That sends us to break.

Post break Gunther finds Nick Aldis in the back. Gunther whines about not getting respect, Aldis says he’s given Gunther the respect that he’s given him as GM. Gunther tells Aldis to fix this before the legal teams have to get involved.

Back to the ring and Bayley is most of the way to the ring. She’s followed by Jacy Jayne, but Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid stay behind much like Morgan did. Expect them to run down later. Kiana James and Giulia come down last, and James brings Giulia down to the ring with her.

Match #1 – Fatal 4-Way: Raquel Rodriguez vs. Bayley vs. Kiana James w/ Giulia vs. Jacy Jayne

28 minutes before the first match, that’s really pushing it but falls onto the acceptable side. The crowd sing for Bayley to start, Bayley goes at Raquel, Raquel shoves her down then shoves James and Jayne around. Bayley is able to clothesline Raquel out of the ring. James gets tossed and Bayley with a Belly to Bayley on Jayne for a 2 count. James shows back up, Bayley with a diving kick to Raquel on the floor and James rolls up Bayley for 2. James and Bayley trade pin attempts for a bit before Jayne shows up. Some rope running then punches for everyone before Raquel shows up and hits a crossbody to level all three other women and send us to break again.

We come back to Bayley helping James and Jayne ram Raquel into the ring steps. Jayne with a cannonball off the apron onto Bayley and James. Bayley and Jayne head into the ring, Jayne retains control with a neckbreaker then some corner work. Kicks from Jayne then a senton for a 2 count. James shows up but runs into a back elbow. James with some corner work to Bayley but misses a charge at Jayne, Jayne with cannonball sentsons to Bayley and James, but Raquel with a Pounce to Jayne. Raquel then rams James and Bayley into a corner to set up a corkscrew Vader Bomb. Raquel puts Bayley up top, climbs up with her, but Jayne shows up and superkicks Raquel. Jayne climbs up with Bayley for an avalanche hurricanrana, but it’s slow though it does connect. Raquel powerbombs Bayley into Jayne then hits a double chokeslam but James breaks up the pin. That sends us back to break.

We come back to James getting clotheslined down by Raquel and Jayne breaks up the pin. Bayley knees Jayne from the apron then heads up top for an elbow drop, that gets 2 as James breaks up the pin. James avoid a Bayley to Belly and hits a Codebreaker then a standing moonsault for a near fall. Jayne shoves Giulia over, Bayley knocks Jayne, James with a dirty pin on Bayley which Jayne breaks up. Giulia takes out Jayne, James things Giulia screwed her though and they yell. Everyone hits a finish ending with Raquel hitting James with a Tejana Bomb to win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Raquel Rodriguez won in 15:40

Rating: 2.5 stars
Thoughts: A little over long and the commercial breaks really strained the overall flow of the match. Raquel might have been the least interesting option but they’ve got to get her and Liv to blow up at some point I guess.

That means Raquel takes on Iyo Sky in the near future. Post match Giulia tries to talk with James, James is just pissed and tells her they’re done then shoves. Giulia with a Thesz Press then a dropkick to send James running away. Hopefully we’ve actually got direction for Giulia now instead of her just going back to meandering around and only having a good match once in a blue moon when she’s allowed to cut loose.

In the back Sami wanders around emoting like the average 12 year old in a Call of Duty lobby. He finds depressed Johnny Gargano and whines to him about things. Aldis shows up to tell Sami to stay out of Cody and Gunther’s business, Sami whines more but Aldis has business with the returning Chad Gable who just had the Match of the Year. Big pop for Gable.

After this match we’re being menaced with a Talla Tonga match, he’ll take on Royce Keys.

Post break here’s Talla Tonga, still using Solo Sikoa’s music despite allegedly having his own. Commentary remind us they’re going to try and position this group of useless goobers against the reformed Bloodline who are just playing the hits to smaller crowds at the county fair. Keys heads to the ring after that, let’s see if he can make Talla look like a competent wrestler.

Match #2: Royce Keys vs. Talla Tonga w/ Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa

Keys isn’t intimidated by Talla, Keys with jabs and evasive moves but he can’t knock Talla over with shoulder blocks. Shoulder block from Talla but Keys pops back up and has to pretend he can’t lift that goof so Talla can take over. Headbutt from Talla, then an uppercut. They both trade punches for a bit, Talla asks for a crowd response but doesn’t get it. Keys keeps trying to knock Talla over and eventually clotheslines him out of the ring to send us picture in picture. You couldn’t have given picture in picture to the women, you’re going to inflict more Talla Tonga on the audience? Whoever is making these decisions should be fired.

Talla slams Keys onto the announce table to retain control, despite how crappy his control work is. Talla rams Keys into the ring post then both men head back into the ring. Keys again has to pretend he can’t lift Talla, that’s just unbelievable in the bad way as he clearly could do it. Side slam from Talla then he wants another reaction from the crowd which I assume he doesn’t get based on the visuals of the audience. Talla starts targeting the back of Keys with some elbows. We come back to Talla being too fat to lift again. Keys avoids a corner boot and he starts throwing clubbing blows to the back of Talla. Talla pretends he knows how to sell, Keys keeps up the front and back clotheslines before hitting the ropes, Talla blocks his attack and once again Talla is too fat for Keys to lift. This is just silly at this point. Some corner avalanches from Keys then he finally hits the ropes and shoulder blocks Talla down. Keys easily lifts Talla for a powerslam, so Solo distracts the ref allowing Tama to trip up Keys. Allegedly Keys hits Tama but the camera angle didn’t help. Back in the ring Talla with a boot then a chokeslam to win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Talla Tonga won in 8:02

Rating: 1 star
Thoughts: Good Lord Talla sucks at this. Of all the people to structure a match about not being able to lift Talla, Keys was the absolute wrong one to do that. Keys can easily lift Talla and we all know it, Talla’s control work is still ass and Keys should be doing things that matter.

Post match Tama attacks Keys, R-Truth runs down to help, he gets punched down by Talla though. Damian Priest shows up next to pull Truth out of the ring but doesn’t help Keys. Priest and Truth argue but Keys is left alone to take a Cutthroat. Pretty much everything about this sucks.

In the back Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh celebrate Raquel’s win. Morgan brings up Raquel taking a title from Ripley, and Morgan and Dom will be great King and Queen of the Ring. Raquel is slightly annoyed by this. Judgement Day has more than run its course, please break it up sooner rather than later. That sends us to break.

Post break, hey Finn Balor is coming to Smackdown. I’m sure he wont be in catering with Nakamura and Ilja in a few weeks.

In the back Truth and Priest argue about helping Keys. Priest doesn’t trust Keys and he’s focused on King of the Ring. Truth wants to check on Keys, he’s got an older brother who’s a doctor of thuganomics. Priest just walks off. The War Raiders show up, the new AAA tag team champions, and want a title shot at Truth and Priest. Truth doesn’t know who either man is and walks off. Man, the tag team scene on Smackdown used to be the Street Profits, DIY, Motor City Machine Guns, Fraxiom, Pretty Deadly, even Los Garza could contribute. It was the crown jewel of weekly Smackdown TV. Now it’s just. . . this mess. How terribly sad.

Back to the ring, here’s women’s champion Rhea Ripley for promo time. Ripley’s right knee is taped up and is limping slightly on it. She gets a mic and plays with the crowd then says she finally moved on from Jade Cargill with her last win. She admis her knee is banged up but Jade failed to take her out and Ripley is still champion. When recapping the match she brings up Charlotte Flair helping her out to even the numbers, and that brings out Charlotte. Charlotte is dressed to work so we’re going to get some revolving door action I bet. Charlotte has a mic and talks to the ring, she knows Ripley didn’t ask for help but she respects Ripley and had her back. The last few weeks she’s had fun working with Ripley, but Queen of the Ring is coming up and Charlotte is still a competitor. She’s a 14 time women’s champion, and as much fun as she’s had she’s looking forward to taking that belt from her at SummerSlam. That brings out women’s US champion Tiffany Stratton. Tiffany is also dressed to work and talks to the ring, she plays with the crowd a bit and references her history with Charlotte. Charlotte asks for an apology from Tiffany, that doesn’t go anywhere. Tiffany is here for Ripley, she may have the US title but she wants that other belt too. Now Jade Cargill and flunkies come out because yeah, so much revolving door. Jade and Michin are dressed to work, not so much B-Fab so we know where this is going. Jade talks to the ring insulting everyone in the ring and half asking for a louder reaction which she doesn’t get. She says Charlotte is just next in line for her, and brings up how they side lined Alexa Bliss. I think there’s a “Jade can’t talk” chant, which is pretty accurate. The heels move towards the ring, Aldis shows up though and prevents a fight. He says Ripley isn’t allowed to wrestle tonight so everyone should take a breath. Charlotte offers to team with Tiffany against Jade and Michin in tag action which works for all parties. Not a good segment as we head to break.

Match #3 – Tag Team Match: Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton vs. Jade Cargill and Michin w/ B-Fab

26 minutes between matches, that’s bad. Bell rings as we come back, Charlotte and Michin start and Charlotte easily overpowers her, then Michin hits the ropes to hit a hurricanrana. Chop from Charltote drops Michin and Charlotte goes through her takeovers on the mat. Jade and Charlotte both do the “you flinched” spot, and Michin hits Charlotte with a German supelx. Tiffany tags in, because Tiffany is more on the level of Michin card wise which is just sad when you think about where Tiffany was a year ago. Low dropkick from Tiffany, Jade tags in and then hits her with a fall away slam. Spinebuster from Jade gets a 2 count. Michin tags back in and loses control as Tiffany clotheslines her down, Charlotte tags in and hits a crossbody then the step over clothesline. Chops from Charlotte then a corner gamen giri. Charlotte heads to the apron, lands boots then jumps onto Jade and B-Fab on the floor, Michin then follows with a suicide dive and everyone’s down as we head to break.

We come back to Charlotte still taking heat. Charlotte fights off a side headlock with a back suplex and both women are down. Michin tries to block the tag, Charlotte boots her but Jade cheap shots her and Michin hits a Styles Clash and Tiffany breaks up the pin. How far are we from the Styles Clash becoming a superkick in terms of frequent use? Charlotte avoids a Figure 4, then dodges a charge and Michin posts herself. That lets Tiffany get the hot tag and start running through her usual offense on Michin, then hit a dropkick on Jade and the cartwheel Alabama Slam on Michin. Tiffany goes up top for a Swanton Bomb but only a 2 count. Pele kick from Michin then she tags in Jade. Handspring Stunner from Tiffany and Michin breaks up the pin. Charlotte and Michin with stereo head kicks and they’re both down. Tiffany and Jade trade strikes, Jade counters the cartwheel with a sit out powerbomb for a 2 count. Tiffany wants the tag and Michin yanks her away from it, but Tiffany rams her into the ring steps. B-Fab posts Charlotte behind the refs back, Jade then with a pump kick of her own. Tiffany avoids a Jaded, hits a Finlay Roll but Jade grabs her off the ropes for Jaded to win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Jade and Michin won in 12:18

Rating: 2 stars
Thoughts: Michin is a decent hand but she just can’t get the crowd to care, B-Fab is still not very good, and Jade has presence but that’s about it. Charlotte and Tiffany are an OK makeshift team but we’re likely to head to more Jade and Tiffany stuff which we’ve seen a lot of already.

In the back Fatal Influence walk and whine, they yell at Cathy then get into a fight with Paige and Brie Bella who are having photos taken. Ultimately Reid and Fallon hold the belts briefly before dropping them and walking off.

After this break we’ll get Carmelo Hayes and Ricky Saints.

Post break Truth and Keys are talking in the back. Keys knows he’ll get jumped again. Truth says Priest is a tough nut to crack but he’s a good guy and once all three of them get together they’ll handle Solo’s goons. Keys doesn’t know Priest and says if Priest wants an issue he’ll get it.

To the ring and here come Ricky Saints and Carmelo Hayes. Still no real pop for Ricky. He’s gonna have to really work for his main roster reaction it seems, he just debuted to hype in NXT but that’s not here on the main roster thus far. The good news, he’s more than talented enough to do it.

Match #4: Carmelo Hayes vs. Ricky Saints

Saints jumps Hayes just before the bell, but Hayes tosses him out of the ring then hits a dive. Back in the ring, Hayes still has his jacket on and hits a Frog Splash for a 2 count. The jacket is finally off, and Ricky avoids a First 48 by powdering. Hayes chases Ricky and gets attacked in the ring. Chop from Ricky but Hayes with the springboard clothesline then clotheslines Ricky out of the ring to send us to break.

We come back to Ricky in control and landing a Kitchen Sink knee lift for a 2 count. Top position punches from Ricky then a corner attack and Bulldog for a 2 count. Hayes fights out of the corner with a leap but jumps into a Northern Lights suplex for a 2 count, then Hayes hits a high pendulum DDT and both men are down. Hayes starts firing up with strikes but Ricky stuns him with a right hand and corners him. Both men keep unloading strikes, boot from Ricky but Hayes with Dirty Diana for a near fall. Ricky counters First 48 and they trade pins then Hayes avoids a Revolution DDT, but Ricky sticks with it and hits the Revolution DDT for a near fall. Hayes hits a First 48 and gets his own near fall. Hayes goes up top, but Ricky hits the ropes to crotch him then shoves Hayes to the floor. On the floor Ricky tosses Hayes into the crowd then poses, Hayes leaps off the barricade but just into a cross chop. Ricky into the ring, he’ll take the count out but Hayes beats the count at the last second. Ricky argues with the ref, Hayes rolls him up with rights, only 2 though. Superkick from Hayes then Rick avoids a flying nothing and counters an O’Connor Roll with some tights to get the win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Ricky Saints won in 10:13

Rating: 2.5 stars
Thoughts: We suffered through Talla Tonga picture in picture but couldn’t get that for these two? Terrible call there. These two work well together and I’m looking forward to more. Dear production, if you ever have to choose between giving Ricky and Hayes picture in picture or literally anything involving Talla choose Ricky and Hayes. This was probably even better if you got the full match.

In the back Trick Williams watches TV, Cathy comes over and lets Trick talk. Trick yapps about winning King of the Ring until Bron Breakker comes over to stare him down ahead of them both being in the main event.

Elsewhere Tiffany walks and finds Chelsea Green. Green would have been out there with Tiffany, Tiffany is confused by this. Green asks Tiffany to be in her corner tonight, Tiffany can’t as she’s got to see the trainers.

To the ring, here’s Lash Legend along with Nia Jax and we head to break.

Blake Monroe video, please forget she showed up two weeks ago in a backstage appearance. This time Blake focuses on talking about Tiffany Stratton.

Back to the ring, here comes Chelsea Green.

Match #5: Chelsea Green vs. Lash Legend w/ Nia Jax

Green tries to avoid Lash early, Lash corners her but Green hits a back hand. Green runs away but Jax blocks her path. Back in the ring Green hits a Codebreaker but runs into an uppercut. Lash with a running Splash for a 2 count. Bearhug from Lash then she slings her out of the ring where Jax gets in a few cheap shots. Green on the apron tries a Sunset Flip but Lash is too big and hauls her up into a pump kick. That still only gets 2. Green avoids a running Splash then fights out of the corner. Some running attacks from Green, then a super awkward baseball slide to Jax. Lash gets snapped over the top rope, then Green hangs out holding the rope until Lash obliges her walking over over. Green with a top rope crossbody onto both Lash and Jax on the floor. Green sends Lash back into the ring then heads up top for a dropkick and a 2 count. Lash avoids an Unpretty Her and counters into a Lash Extension to get the win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Lash Legend won in 4:24

Rating: 1.5 stars
Thoughts: Lash has this really obnoxious habit of making sure 90% of everything she does faces the hard cam and it’s the kind of thing that just drives me up the wall. It always reminds me how fake this is, and in the way that makes me not want to buy into anything she does.

Next a recap of Jacob Fatu becoming painfully uninteresting by becoming just another cog in the tired Bloodline story. I can’t believe they made Fatu that uninteresting so quickly after moving him to RAW.

In the back Keys is icing up and Solo waddles over. Solo asks why Keys is being difficult, Roman Reigns made Fatu knee. Keys doesn’t care, and Solo says no one’s watching Keys’ back. Solo’s the only family Keys has left. Keys didn’t bust his ass just to suck up to Solo once he got here. Solo brings up how no one’s been with Keys since he got here, but Solo brought Fatu, Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga here. He also brought JC Mateo and Botcha Loa but we aren’t going to talk about them are we? Solo says the other side is getting ready for war, so they need to get ready as well. The reality is now Solo needs a fourth man, but if Keys gets sucked into being just another Bloodline pawn as well I’ll just about lose all hope for the future.

We’ll get the main event after this break.

Post break we get a recap of the Mask vs. Mask match between Original El Grande Americano and Nuevo El Grande Americano, highlighted by Chad Gable unmasking as Original. Seriously if you haven’t seen that match it’s on Youtube, look it up because it’s the best match all year from where I sit.

In the back Rey Fenix talks with Fraxiom, Gable comes over to talk with Fenix. Gable wanted to talk with Fenix, he talks about the Americano gimmick, trying to frustrate the luchadores but the longer he wore the mask the more he got it. It’s a responsibility not a joke, he insulted that and is here to look Fenix in the eye and apologize. Fenix says Gable finally gets it, losing the mask is hard enough and he forgives him. But Fenix wasn’t the only one Gable offended.

We find Cody walking and he finds Aldis. Cody confirms the rematch is still on the table, Aldis says Gunther will accept but Gunther gets to set the stipulation for their match. Gunther will tell us that stipulation next week, but in two weeks we’ll have the title match in Kansas City Cody vs. Gunther. OK, that works.

Back to the ring here come the competitors for the main event. First up is Damian Priest and we head to break.

Post break here comes the unwashed Dominik Mysterio along with Liv Morgan. That gimmick’s taken by Sami on the blue brand buddy. Bron follows, and Trick gets to come out last so we can listen to his chant for longer.

Match #6 – Fatal 4-Way: Damian Priest vs. Dominik Mysterio w/ Liv Morgan vs. Trick Williams vs. Bron Breakker

25 minutes between matches, and Bron drills Trick with a German suplex. Dom slinks away like a cockroach as Priest and Bron go at it until Bron lands another German suplex. Another German suplex for Trick, then Bron knocks Dom off the apron. Priest with a right to Bron but Bron hits the ropes for a clothesline. Now Bron heads out of the ring, runs around it and kills Dom with a flying shoulder tackle to send us picture in picture.

Some ringside brawling from all four men, Trick launches Dom over the announce table while Bron and Priest brawl around. Dom fights back with a chop then heads into the ring with Trick. Priest shows up to menace Dom, then unloads on him with strikes in the corner. Dom runs into a jumping back elbow. Trick and Priest trade blows in the corner, both men unloading with chops before Trick lands a shoulder block. Bron and Dom are fighting on the floor still, Trick hops out to get Dom back in the ring and Bron follows. Some opposite corner work for a bit before Priest tosses Bron out of the ring. We come back to Dom landing an enziguri on Trick to then stare off with Priest. Bron shows up to take a double superkick. Priest then punches Dom down and unloads for a bit including a very odd Flapjack with how Dom took that. Kicks from Priest to Trick and Bron then he tosses Trick and back drops Bron out of the ring. Dom avoids South of Heaven but eats a thrust kick. Dom avoids the rebound clothesline, Priest up top but Bron runs up for an avalanche Frankensteiner for a 2 count as Dom breaks up the pin. Bron mocks Dom trying to suplex him and does a military press into a slam for a 2 count as Trick saves the match. Trick and Bron trade strikes, then Trick lands a series of side kicks to Bron and Dom. Punches for Priest then a leaping clothesline to Dom and neckbreaker for Priest. Rhythmic stomps to Dom in the corner, then a Book End to Bron and Priest breaks up the pin. Priest sent to the apron, he kicks Trick then Dom climbs up top with him for a superplex but Trick shows up to pull Dom into an Electric Chair so Priest can punch away at Dom then box his ears. Bron shows up top with Priest, Trick clibms up too then they all position again so they can hit the double superplex to send us picture in picture again.

Everyone’s down for a bit, Dom tries to pin each man but can’t find anything. Trick with some chops to Dom in the corner. Bron gets tossed by Priest then Priest throws Dom into Trick in the corner. Trick and Priest fight in one corner while Dom and Bron hang out opposite them. That’s the state of things as we rejoin the broadcast. Dom boots Bron while Priest with a discus punch to Trick and Trick falls out of the ring. Bron posts himself trying to attack Dom. Priest tries South of Heaven on Dom, Dom chops Priest but Priest cares not then hits Dom with a Razor’s Edge and Morgan distracts the ref as Priest gets the visual win. Bron then with an awkward military press to Priest and a Black Hole Slam to Trick. Bron felt real sloppy on those last two spots, then Dom superkicks Bron and lines him up for a 619 but Priest punches him down. Spear from Bron, we’re getting the parade of finishers and Dom has to pull the ref out of the ring to stop Trick getting a pin on Priest. Trick backhands Dom down on the apron. Bron clotheslines Trick out of the ring then follows him and leaps from the apron to clothesline Trick through the announce table. Dom tries to 619 Priest again but Priest clotheslines him down. JD McDonagh shows up to take South of Heaven, that lets Liv hit a low blow to Priest which sets up the 619 and Frog Splash from Dom to win.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Dominik Mysterio won in 16:53

Rating: 2.5 stars
Thoughts: Decent match overall, Dom winning was the somewhat obvious call but that’s not a bad thing. Dom will get through Oba Femi thanks to Brock Lesnar but will lose in the finals. The four men did the usual stuff here but everyone kept a decent pace and apart from some of Bron’s spots being overly ambitious down the stretch this was solid overall.

That ends the episode.
