Chris Dickinson has filed a lawsuit against the two former partners who accused him of domestic abuse. As reported back in April, Dickinson was accused by former partners Christina Kardooni (aka Christina Von Eerie) and McKaila Coulter of being mentally and physically abusive to them during their respective relationships. Dickinson said at the time that he had removed himself from a GCW event in light of the accusations and has been largely silent since, working only two shows: an NJPW Strong taping in May and SAJ Year Zero in Italy in June. Dickinson, real name Chris Torre, has now filed a defamation suit against the two, with PWInsider reporting that the suit was filed with the United States District Court of New Jersey on July 22nd and seeks damages for “blatant acts of defamation that wrongfully accuse Mr. Torre of abusive conduct.”

Dickinson acknowledges in the lawsuit that he had relationships with the two and claims he was “friendly” with both after they ended until the two came out with their stories on social media. Von Eerie’s allegation came after Dickinson signed with NJPW in mid-April, saying that their relationship “was filled with verbal, mental, and physical abuse. Leaving me with severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and crippling depression.”

Coulter’s allegations followed soon after, in which she said she didn’t know Von Eerie but said she suffered many similar things, inclduing physical and mental abuse. She also accused Dickinson of stalking her after they broke up and said, “Yeah there was some physical stuff but he makes it feel like no big deal. ‘Oh I lightly pushed you into the wall.’ ‘I just threw a water bottle at you, it’s not a big deal, not like I hit you.’”

Dickinson’s lawsuits accuse both women of making “untrue and defamatory statements” about him and outline several examples of verbal and physical abuse that they accused him of, such as telling Von Eerie that “Women’s wrestling is trash,” “I can’t believe you’re getting paid that much, it makes me sick. You don’t deserve that,” and “I hate Christina Von Eerie, and I wish she didn’t exist.” He also outlines their claims they he physical assulted her and claims that it is all false, saying, “Mr. Torre never engaged in any forms of abuse, whether physical, verbal, or mental, either against any person.”

Dickinson goes on to state that Von Eerie tagged the UWN’s Dave Marquez and NJPW’s Rocky Romero on Twitter in her allegations. He notes that he soon lost the UWN Championship and has not yet returned to the company, and says that because his NJPW was a pay-per-appearance deal it is now “valueless” because he is not being booked. He alleges that he has “has suffered great reputational, professional, and financial damages within the State of New Jersey” which include being terminated by GCW in May 2022 after finding out about the allegations against him.

He goes on to say regarding NJPW that:

“Specifically, when NJPW contracted with Mr. Torre in April 2022, NJPW expressed the interest of booking Mr. Torre for events in Japan and having Mr. Torre work in Japan as soon as possible. After Defendants posted their defamatory statements, NJPW told Mr. Torre to wait until further notice. Given that Mr. Torre’s contract with NJPW was to be paid per appearance in events, losing the opportunities to participate in future NJPW events caused Mr. Torre’s contract with NJPW to become essentially a valueless deal.”

Dickinson also alleges that other promotions have removed him from their social media and not booked him, and that many of his “business associates have cut off their connections… in order to avoid potential reputational damages to themselves resulting from the allegations.”

Dickinson says that before the allegations he earned about $20,000 a month on average for the 15 – 20 events he would be booked for and cannot maintain that level of work now, with losses of $50,000 over the last several months. He’s suing for defamation, false promotion under the Lanham Act (alleging that his trademark has been damaged) and tortious interference with his NJPW contract. He is seeking the following:

a. Judgment on the claim set forth above;
b. An award of compensatory damages according to proof at trial, as well as punitive and exemplary damages where authorized;
c. An order enjoining Defendants and those in active concert with Defendants from disseminating or publishing any further defamatory statements concerning Mr. Torre;
d. An order directing Defendants to retract their defamatory statements from any non-party who they have contacted regarding the matters alleged in this complaint;
e. An order directing Defendants to undertake such remedial efforts as the Court deems necessary to restore Mr. Torre’s reputation;
f. Prejudgment and post-judgment interest at the applicable rate; g. An award for reasonable attorney’s fees, costs and disbursements, where applicable; and
h. Such other and further relief the Court deems proper and just.”

The two women were served with the suit earlier this week and they have yet to respond to it.
