Chris Jericho thinks he’s done a lot to elevate Ricochet’s name value amid their feud in AEW over the last month and a half. Jericho has been feuding with Ricochet and The Demand since he made his return to AEW TV at the start of April.

Thus far, Ricochet has been on a roll against Jericho, beating him in both their matchups thus far. The two will be on opposite side of Stadium Stampede at AEW Double or Nothing this coming weekend. Jericho reflected on the feud on Ringer Wrestling’s The Masked Man Show and said that he’s been enjoying working with talent he’s generally never worked with until now. You can see the highlights below:

On Working With Talent He Hasn’t Worked With Before:

“No, it’s amazing and that’s kind of the idea. That’s why I still love wrestling and still feel that I that I’m doing it on a high level. Because it’s great to go in there with Ricochet, who I never crossed paths before. And once again, you hear all the, the conspiracies about Jericho; my goal is always to build my opponent. Always. And I think if you look and you really know the business, you can see that with everybody that I’ve been in the ring with. No, once in a while it doesn’t work the way you want it to. But once again, not by lack of effort.

On Working With Ricochet:

“I think the stuff Ricochet and I have done over the last couple months has been amazing. And I think he’s a way bigger name now than he was on March 30th, you know. And it gives me relevancy. Because to work with younger guys — and I mean, obviously at this point everybody’s a younger guy. But my mindset is, always set in what can we do to to make this the best possible show. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. I don’t care. I care about making the best story possible.

“So when you talk with Ricochet, amazing. Gates of Agony I think have learned a lot. The thing that we do with Hurt Business a couple weeks ago, none of us thought it was going to get the reaction that it did. Like, we’ve got something now. We can now go back to Jericho and the Hurt Syndicate at any time.”
