CM Punk Says He’d Like To Play The Punisher

CM Punk says that if he could play any superhero on screen, it would be The Punisher. Punk weighed in on the topic in his fan Q&A for GQ, during which he was asked who he would like to play if he were to ever appear in a superhero movie. He joked a little bit before revealing that his pick would be to play the famed vigilante character.

“I’m CM F**king Punk, it doesn’t get any more super than that,” he said (per Fightful). “The Thing wants to be CM Punk. Frank Castle wants to be CM Punk. No, not really. I want to be Frank Castle, The Punisher.‘”

Punk is out of luck for now, as Jon Bernthal is ensconced in the role and is reportedly playing him in Spider-Man: Brand New Day as well as Daredevil: Born Again season two.
