CM Punk & Roman Reigns Get Personal In WWE Raw Promo

The promo war between CM Punk and Roman Reigns hit new personal levels on this week’s episode of WWE Raw. Monday night’s show closed out with the WrestleMania 42 opponents sharing another back and forth on the mic. The two have been taking personal shots in the lead up to the PPV, and they continued in the segment.

Reigns invited Punk to the ring and referred to Punk as “Phil” again, to which Punk said he isn’t going to do the same to Reigns and said he refused to call Reigns “Joe” because that would “insult a real Samoan I love very much,” meaning of course Samoa Joe. Punk asked about Reigns telling the Samoans to come after him, to which Reigns said he was just telling them to do whatever they needed to.

Punk said he was in Reigns’ head and had already won, and called out Reigns for not being on last week’s show. Reigns said the part-time insults are old and that Punk should ask his wife what the “top dollar players” do.

They continued to go back and forth until Reigns called Punk a “try hard” that makes WWE look bad becaue of his age. Punk finally decked Reigns and officials came out to stop him. Reigns laughed, knowing he got in Punk’s head.

Reigns and Punk will meet for the latter’s World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42. You can see highlights from the segment below.
