The cast of the new Street Fighter movie joined Sam Roberts for a new SiriusXM Front Row event on WWE Radio, including reigning World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, 50 Cent, Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, and Callina Liang, who discussed working on the movie. During the conversation, Reigns spoke with Roberts about his camaraderie with the movie’s cast, comparing it to his days playing college football and being part of a team.
Reigns explained how in the WWE locker room, since he’s in that top 1% of the business, everyone measures themselves against him. However, with the Street Fighter cast, he’s not running around acting like he’s Noah Centineo or Andrew Koji. Below are some highlights, courtesy of WWE Radio on SiriusXM:
Roman Reigns on the Camaraderie With His Co-Stars Versus the WWE Locker Room
“There’s a great camaraderie in wrestling. I mean, being one of the boys is, I can’t even explain it because I’m in the small fraternity. I’m in that 1%. And honestly, that should just be for us. But the difference is, I wasn’t running around thinking I’m Noah [Centineo]. You know what I mean? Like, there’s plenty of dudes in the locker room that are running around thinking they’re Roman Reigns, you know, thinking they’re of my level. It’s crazy. It’s just ridiculous. Like, look in the mirror and look at all your stuff, everything that comes with life. Look at your bank account. All the stuff.”
On the Cast’s Collaboration Together
“We’re not the same, you know what I mean? And I didn’t run around thinking I’m Noah or Andrew [Koji]. No, I’m here to work with them, complement them, make the very best combination, collaboration to create the best film, the best story. So that’s kind of just- there’s no confusion here. We all understand who we are and what we’re trying to do, and we all came together that way in a perfect way; it really was. But in wrestling, it just can’t be had that way.”
