Cody Rhodes Planning to Get Surgery on Injured Knee After Wrestle Kingdom 13, Layoff Projected for Six Weeks
– F4WOnline.com reported an update on Cody Rhodes’ injury status this week. Per the report, Cody Rhodes is planning to undergo surgery on his injured knee later in January 2019.
Cody is reportedly going to be out of action for about six weeks after the surgery. Rhodes reportedly has two tears in his medial meniscus; one vertical and one horizontal. He will be rehabbing his knee through December 14, where he’s still planning to go forward with a match against Jay Lethal at ROH Final Battle. He’s also still planning to work a match scheduled for NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 13 event, which is set for the Tokyo Dome on January 4.
Rhodes injured his knee earlier this month during the ROH Global Wars tour. As a result, he was forced to withdraw from his scheduled title defense against Beretta. He still intends to go forward with his advertised bookings for the rest of the month, but he will not be wrestling.
