Matt Hardy and Will Osprey vs. Eli Drake and James Storm: Matt Hardy and Will Osprey defeated Eli Drake and James Storm: Oh for fucks sake Mathews and Pope are arguing over who has the most twitter followers. Mathews continued to discuss Twitter. Pope asked him to stop and Mathews actually said, “That’s what we do here on One Night Only.” That’s right Josh, you don’t give a single, solitary fuck about actually doing your job, which is accentuating the match and getting talents over. During all of this bullshit, Matt and Storm had some good back and forth, with Storm outsmarting and frustrating Matt. Osprey came in and shined on Drake, Matt demanded the tag and took control as Osprey sat in the corner. Matt kept yelling at Osprey, telling him that’s how you do it, and then tagged Osprey back in. Drake then got the heat on Osprey for a bit, and then just like almost every other match, Drake and Strom argued while Matt refused to tag in. This feels like the laziest show ever in how they have structured it. During the heat, instead of selling this match, Pope gave out his Twitter handle and Josh said he blocked Pope on Twitter. WHO FUCKING CARES? Meanwhile, Osprey was working hard, selling well and actually keeping the crowd somewhat involved when he got hope spots. Since Matt wouldn’t tag in, Osprey made his own comeback and ran wild on Drake for a bit and got to show off his repertoire. Drake stole Storm’s beer, and then ate a superkick from Storm for this crime. Osprey then hit the corkscrews shooting star press. Matt tagged in, tossed him to the floor, and covered for the win. Matt Hardy and Will Osprey defeated Eli Drake and James Storm @ 10:30 via pin [*½] This wasn’t good, and was part of a show that featured extremely lazy booking, and didn’t feature anyone in a positive way. In the end, Ospreay made the choice to sign with NJPW and work ROH, Impact had no clue or vision in regards to how to use him or feature him during this time.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Roderick Strong: Tanahashi was the “U-30” champion at this time. They lock up and work into some basic back and forth, as Tenay says that NJPW “sees a lot in this young Tanahashi.” No shit Mike. Strong takes control with a butterfly suplex, covering for 2. He then grounds the action with an inverted surfboard, and then misses a charge, allowing Tanahashi to fire back. The slam, elbow and senton all follow by Tanahashi, covering for 2. Tanahashi heads up top, gets crotched and slammed to the mat. The delayed suplex follows, and Strong covers for 2. The side backbreaker follows and then misses a leg drop off the ropes. Tanahashi fires up, they trade strikes, but Tanahashi hits a clothesline for 2. The tiger bomb follows for 2 by Strong. Tanahashi locks on a dragon sleeper into a giant swing for 2. Strong now hits the toss up gut buster and dropkick for 2. Strong lays in chops, but Tanahashi hits the full nelson slam and sling blade for the win. Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Roderick Strong @ 6:10 via pin [***] This was a good, back and forth match. It’s really cool to look back at these guys working a match 12-years ago, knowing what they became and how far they’ve come.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Elix Skipper: Nakamura was the interim IWGP champion at this time. Angle had just won the IWGP champion from Lesnar. Nakamura was just 5-years into his career at this time. He attacks with knee strikes to begin. They work into some back and forth, and Skipper hits a lariat for 2. He follows with kicks, Nakamura cuts him off and hits a powerbomb. The Michinoku driver follows for the win. Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Elix Skipper @ 2:30 via pin [NR] Unfortunately this was a short nothing of a match, really not even worth the upload other than to say “we have a Nakamura match” you can watch.

– End scene.

– Thanks for reading.
