David Finlay & Katsuya Kitamura vs. Trent & Chucky T: Finlay and Trent to begin. Trent throws his shirt at Kitamura, but it was a distraction for he and Chucky T to attack Finlay. It didn’t work as Finlay battled back, sent then to the floor and hit a plancha on Trent; Chucky T followed with a dive onto Finlay. Chucky T antagonizes Kitamura and Trent admonishes him for it. They argue and hug it out after knocking Kitamura to the floor. They then take the heat on Finlay, working quick tags and isolating him in their corner. The soul food/dragon suplex combo connects for 2. Trent lays in chops on Finlay and poses, Chucky T in and hits a dropkick, covering for 2. Finlay manages a belly to back suplex, but Trent cuts him off. Trent then takes the time to drink water and then throws the bottle at Kitamura, pissing the big man off. Finlay manages to kick Trent to the floor, and tags in Kitamura. KITAMURA MAD, KITAMURA SMASH PUNY TRENT, KITAMURA RUN WILD. Chucky T tries to help, Kitamura yells at him and he spears the Best Friends. Kitamura looks for the jackhammer, gets cut off and eats a double tea, chokeslam, but manages to kick out. Chucky T heads up top, but Finlay cuts him off as Kitamura press slams Trent. The Kitamura gut wrench suplex follows, but Chucky T makes the save and tosses Finlay. Chucky T now misses a moonsault on Kitamura, Trent cuts him off with a knee strike and strong zero puts Kitamura away. Best Friends defeated David Finlay & Katsuya Kitamura @ 7:26 via pin [**½ ] This was a perfectly average opening match, with a fun closing stretch. It warms my heart to see Chuck Taylor doing so well in NJPW.

Togi Makabe & Henare vs. Michael Elgin & Jeff Cobb: Henare attacks at the bell and tries to run wild on the Hoss brothers, but large Michael cuts him off and starts laying in some sick forearms. Henare fires back, Elgin dares him to hit harder and then drops him and tags in Cobb. They work double teams, and then Cobb starts tossing him around like a sack of shit. Cobb and Elgin do the delayed suplex hand off spot, which the crowds love. Makabe can just watch on as Henare takes his beating. Henare hits a desperation spear and makes the tag to Makabe. He takes Elgin to the floor and works over Cobb with clotheslines and mounted punches. The powerslam on Elgin connects, and then a lariat on Cobb follows for 2. Cobb fires up and they trade clotheslines, and they work into a double down. Wholesale changes to Elgin and Henare, Henare firs up and lays into Elgin with strikes. The superman forearm follows and Henare heads up top and hits the big shoulder tackle for 2. Elgin cuts him off as Cobb returns and they take out Makabe with a double team uranage. They work over Henare, laying in forearms and Elgin does the deal with the falcon arrow for 2. Cobb takes Makabe to the floor, and Elgin goes back to work on Henare. The Elgin bomb finishes things. Michael Elgin and Jeff Cobb defeated Togi Makabe & Henare @ 7:35 via pin [**½] This was another perfectly average match, with Henare showing good fire as he makes his comeback from injury. He’s coming along nicely.

Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa vs. Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr.: They brawl to begin, with the Guerrilla staking control and sending Archer to the floor. They look for Guerrilla warfare, but Archer makes the save. Smith and Tonga in now, as Archer works over Loa on the floor. Smith works the arm of Tonga and takes control, and takes him to his corner and tags in Archer. He maintains control, isolating Tonga and continuing to work the arm. Archer does the thing where he yells a lot, and as he does Tonga cuts him off with an enziguri and tags in Loa. He works over Archer in the corner, but runs into a boot and gets cut off. Archer then runs into a RANA, and Smith tags in for double teams. He grounds Loa, taking control back. Archer tags back in, they work double teams and keep the heat on Loa after knocking Tonga to the floor. Smith tags back in, laying the boots to Loa and hitting a neck breaker for 2. Loa slowly fights back and tags in Tonga. He tries to pick up the pace, working over Smith and knocking Archer to the floor. Archer back in and the hart attack gets 2 as Loa makes the save. Smith hits an inverted DDT, covering for 2 as Archer works over Loa on the floor. Tonga now fights off a powerbomb, Loa makes the save and it breaks down. Tonga counters a chokeslam into the gun stun, but Smith hits a German for 2. Tonga then counters a dragoon sleeper, hitting the gun stun and picking up the win. The Guerrillas of Destiny defeated KES @ 9:42 via pin [**¾] This was pretty good overall, a small bit better than the previous two matches, with the Guerrillas picking up a big win to change up the top of the standings.

Raymond Rowe & Hanson vs. Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano: Hanson and Yano to begin. Yano tries to play around, and that angers Hanson. So Hanson starts to beat on him in the ropes, and then rubs his beard I his face; Yano runs and tags in Ishii. He and Hanson hoss it up right away, colliding like rams and Rowe tag in and they double-team Ishii. Yano makes the save and takes Hanson to the floor. Ishii takes over, beating down Rowe. Rowe tries to pull a Yano and rip off the buckle pad, but Ishii cuts him off and lays in chops. Yano tags in, takes off the buckle pad and sends Rowe into the exposed buckle. Ishii back in, and he lays in chops on Rowe, keeping him isolated on his corner. Yano in and lay the boots to Rowe, but Rowe sends Yano to the exposed buckle. Ishii cuts him off, but Rowe fires back and hits a superman punch and both men are down. Hanson gets the tag, and he runs wild on both, laying in rights and forever clotheslines. Hanson runs them together, but Ishii cuts him off and they battle for a suplex, which Ishii finally gets. Hanson hits the back handspring elbow to both. Rowe tags in and takes out Yano and then Ishii. Ishii lights up Rowe with chops and strikes in the corner, Rowe starts to fire up and they trade back and forth, with both absorbing the strikes and continuing to lay into each other. Both start to get rocked and do a double down. Hanson in and slams Ishii to the corner, he takes out Yano and War Machine hits the pop up powerslam for 2. Hanson takes Yano to the floor as Ishii blocks the Rowe knee strike and then they trade lariats. Rowe finally hits the knee strike and a powerbomb for a good near fall. Hanson rolls back in and Yano cuts off the double team, Ishii hits a German and Yano tags in. Rowe fires away with rights, but Yano rolls him up for 2. Hanson back in and Yano grabs their beards and hits atomic drops, but Hanson blocks the low blow and hits a suicide dive on Ishii. Rowe gets a near fall on Yano after the knee strike. War Machine looks for fallout, Ishii makes the save and Yano hits double low blows, and rolls up Rowe for the win. Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano defeated War Machine @ 13:05 via pin [**¾] This was another pretty good match, with some fun hossing around from Ishii and War Machine, and the usual clowning around from Yano, which the crowds love.

The final score: review Average
The 411
After three good shows in a row, the B block was in “night off” mode, delivering a rock solid night of action that was more notable for the standings changing than the in-ring action. But it was still better than the A block shows.
