Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens vs. EVIL & SANADA: Owens and EVIL to begin. Fale and SANADA get involved, and pull the hair of Owens and EVIL. Owens takes control, attacking EVIL from behind, but then accidentally hits Fale. Owens sends SANADA to the floor and Fale attacks as everyone spills to the floor for some brawling. Owens hits EVIL with the barricade. Back in and Owens continues control, working over EVIL with rights. Fale tags in, and works the devastating nerve pinch. Clubbing rights follow, and Fale then stands on EVIL. Owens tags back in, laying the boots to EVIL. The leg drop follows, covering for 2. Fale and Owens work some double teams, isolating EVIL and maintaining the heat. EVIL battles back, hitting a superkick and tagging in SANADA. Fale takes out SANADA, and they double team EVIL until SANADA makes the save. EVIL escapes the bad luck fall and EVIL sends Fale to the floor. LIJ works over Owens and hits the magic killer, picking up the win. EVIL & SANADA defeated Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens @ 9:40 via pin [**] This was a perfectly solid, but slow at times match. I still think SANADA is injured and has been working through it for some time, as he has been extremely limited in matches for the last two months.

Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima vs. Juice Robinson & Sami Callihan: Sami and Tenzan to begin. They push and shove, and then Sami puts on Tenzan’s mask because he’s a dick. Tenzan then works him over and takes the mask back. Kojima and Juice tag in, they work some fine back and forth with both laying in shoulder blocks. Kojima sends Sami to the floor as TenKoji work double teams on Juice. Sami and Tenzan brawl on the floor as Juice fires back on Kojima in the ring. Sami tags in, as they continue to isolate Kojima. Juice and Sami mix in some double teams, and send Tenzan to the floor. Juice looks for a brainbuster, but Kojima counters and hits a DDT for the double down. Tenzan gets the tag, sends Sami to the floor and lays in chops to Juice and then to Sami, who tried and failed to make the save. Tenzan follows with a suplex on Juice, covering for 2. Juice tries to fire up, but eats head butts and a spin kick. Tenzan locks in the anaconda vice, but Sami makes the save. Tenzan cuts him off with the mountain bomb, and Kojima tags in and it chop time for Juice. Kojima hits the corner clothesline and but top rope elbow drop misses. Death Juice then double team Kojima, and Juice hits the cannonball for 2. Sami then hits a sitout powerbomb on Kijima for 2. He follows with the stretch muffler, but Tenzan makes the save. Juice quickly tosses him, but Kojima runs Juice into Sami and hits a cutter. Kojima is fired the fuck up, trading chops with Sami. Sami spits at him and eats a cutter for 2 as it breaks down. Tenzan and Juice battle to the floor, Sami kisses Kojima, and then gets his head taken off with a lariat and the dads pick up the win. Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima defeated Juice Robinson & Sami Callihan @ 12:30 via pin [***¼] Sami and Juice finally taste defeat, and it came at the hands of the New Japan dads. This was a good back and forth match, with everyone getting time to shine; Juice Robinson & Sami Callihan have been the most consistent team in the tournament so far.

Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi vs. Minoru Suzuki & Takashi Iizuka: Suzuki-gun attacks before the bell, leading to some floor brawling. Nagata and Suzuki pair off in the ring, Nakanishi joins in and they double team Nakanishi locks on the torture rack, but Iizuka makes the save. Suzuki works the arm bar in the ropes on Nakanishi and drags him to the floor as everyone brawls. Suzuki works over Nakanishi with chair shots and the barricade. Suzuki grabs the bell hammer and continues his assault on Nakanishi. Iizuka joins in, using a chair. Back in they go, and Suzuki lays the boots to Nakanishi as Iizuka bites his arm. Iizuka tags in, biting the arm again. Suzuki tags back in, and attacks the arm of Nakanishi. Iizuka knocks Nagata back to the floor as Suzuki works for an arm bar. Suzuki-gun works quick tags, which is the only thing quick about this match. Nakanishi manages to make the tag, Nagata tags in, working over Suzuki. Suzuki fights back, hits the OK but Nagata pops up. He hits another and Nagata pops up again. Suzuki hits a third and covers for 2. They trade strikes now, and then trade kicks. Suzuki locks on the sleeper; Iizuka tags in and bites Nagata. Suzuki takes out Nakanishi, and Suzuki-gun double teams Nagata. Suzuki hits another PK as Iizuka chokes out Nagata with his rope. Iizuka gets the iron fingers, the ref stops him and Nakanishi makes the save. Nagata hits the backdrop driver and picks up the win. Yuji Nagata & Manabu Nakanishi defeated Minoru Suzuki & Takashi Iizuka @ 12:03 via pin [**] This was an ok match, with a really lethargic pace and overall lacking in drama. Not bad, just ok.

Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI vs. Hangman Page & Yujiro Takahashi: Goto and Page start things off, with Goto overpowering him to begin. HASHI knocks Yujiro to the floor, and they follow with double teams on Page. HASHI lays in strikes on Page, but Page tosses him to the floor and hits the shooting star to the floor. Yujiro works over Goto on the floor, as Yujiro slams HASHI to the barricade. Back in they go and Page lays in rights on HASHI, and then chokes him out. Yujiro tags in, and continues to work over HASHI, isolating him in his side of the ring. Page tags in, choking out HASHI in the ropes and Yujiro tags back in. He hits the basement dropkick, but Goto makes the save. Bullet Club takes him to the floor, and works double teams on HASHI. HASHI hits a code breaker on Yujiro and both men are down. Wholesale changes to Page and Goto, and Goto fights off both Yujiro and Page. The spin kick and Saito suplex connect on Yujiro, with Goto covering for 2. Yujiro fights off the ushigoroshi, and then bites Goto’s hand before hitting a suplex. Wholesale changes to Page and HASHI, HASHI hits the running blockbuster and then drapes Page over the ropes and hits the dropkick for 2. HASHI hits a spin kick and neck breaker, and that gets 2 as Yujiro makes the save. Page fights off HASHI and hits the dropsault, which gets 2. Yujiro takes Goto to the floor; HASHI tries to fight both men off, but eats a double team neck breaker for 2. Goto makes the save before Bullet Club can work more double teams, Goto and HASHI hit an ushigoroshi/superkick combo for a good near fall. HASHI accidentally clotheslines Goto, Page hits him with the buckshot lariat and then the rite of passage for the win. Hangman Page & Yujiro Takahashi defeated Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI @ 11:01 via pin [**½] Overall I’d call this a perfectly average match; it was a bit bland during the heat, and while some of the closing stretch was well done, it failed where many of these matches do, and is the fact that there is just no drama or a strong hook to pull me in and make me care.

The final score: review Not So Good
The 411
After a good night of action on day 6, day 7 drops back down in quality. The good news is that there was nothing bad, but at the same time, there was very little to keep my excitement.
