As previously reported, former AEW wrestler Jake Hager aired his grievances and criticisms of AEW President and CEO Tony Khan during a recent interview with Insight with Chris Van Vliet. During the interview, Hager recalled an incident where there was an all-talent meeting following a situation involving CM Punk when he was still in AEW, and he said that FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) weren’t at the talent meeting because they didn’t like the storyline and refused to come to the AEW TV taping that day. FTR’s Dax Harwood has since addressed the claims made by Jake Hager regarding Tony Khan, FTR, and AEW via social media.

According to Harwood, he and tag team partner Cash Wheeler both attended the all-talent meeting that was called by Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho, and Jon Moxley. He also said that Hager’s claim that Tony Khan came in and interrupted it to be false. He wrote, “Cash and I were at the all-talent only meeting that was called by Bryan, Jericho, and Mox. Tony never interrupted.

Additionally, he also denied that FTR refused to show up to work for not liking a storyline, writing, “Cash and I have NEVER refused to show up to work and, I’d to dare say, if you look at our schedules since Collision started, we’re the most consistent talent that make BOTH shows EVERY WEEK.” Harwood continued, “I’m not really sure where all this is coming from, but it’s mostly not true.”

Harwood later shared images of a text message exchange with Hager, who tried to clarify that he said he thought it was FTR who didn’t show up. Hager eventually apologized to Harwood for his comments, writing, “I apologize. I shouldn’t have said your names when I didn’t know for sure.”

FTR recently competed last Sunday at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in a Triple Threat Elimination Match for the AEW World Tag Team Titles. Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) won the match and the titles after The Hurt Syndicate were taken out by mysterious assailants wearing masks and NJPW gear. Hager recently confirmed that he’s retired from wrestling following his AEW exit.
