District Court of Appeal Rules To Uphold Conviction of Tammy Sytch
– According to PWInsider’s latest update regarding WWE Hall of Famer Tammy Sytch (aka Sunny), The District Court of Appeal of the State of Florida, Fifth District ruled to uphold its conviction of Sytch regarding her November 2023 sentencing to prison for one count of DUI causing death (DUI Manslaughter, a felony in the third degree), one count of causing death while operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license (a felony in the third degree), four counts of DUI causing injury to a person, and three counts of DUI causing property damage.
Sytch had previously filed an appeal to her conviction. The court issued a “Per Curiam Affirmed” ruling. Under that ruling, the court affirmed the verdict of the trial without writing an opinion. Additionally, PWInsider notes that Sytch’s court-appointed lawyer withdrew from the case because the attorney determined Sytch’s attempted appeal was without arguable merit.
Also, an order on December 2 allowed Tammy Sytch to file a legal brief if she felt there was an issue to argue. However, court records indicate that hasn’t happened as of December 31.
