Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor finally ended his disappointing winless streak this Saturday. The Judgment Day member battled JeVon Evans in a singles match at WWE’s Road to WrestleMania 42 live event in Lubbock, Texas, on February 14.
He emerged victorious against The Young OG to break his 166-day winless streak. Before this, Balor’s last victory came against Dragon Lee in a singles match on the September 1, 2025, episode of Monday Night RAW.
Following that, he competed in several tag matches alongside JD McDonagh and ended up losing tag team gold to AJ Styles and Dragon Lee. Finn also competed in the first round of The Last Time is Now Tournament, besides challenging CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship in Belfast, Northern Ireland, last month, but failed to notch up a single win. He also lost to Jey Uso twice in singles competition during the Road to Royal Rumble tour in Europe.
Though Finn Balor has broken his barren run, he is still 0-7 in televised matches since his last victory.
Coming back to his match against Je’Von Evans, the match received praise from fans who attended the show. Balor also broke his on-screen persona after the match, as he acknowledged The Young OG’s efforts.
Balor has a huge challenge ahead, as he is again set to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship this time in the latter’s den, i.e., Chicago, at the Elimination Chamber PLE later this month.
