Gunther is feeling good after retiring John Cena at Saturday Night’s Main Event, bragging about the accomplishment on this week’s episode of WWE Raw. Monday night’s show kicked off as the Ring General came down to the ring for a promo in which he crowed about making Cena tap out in the latter’s last match.
Gunther bragged about doing what he said he would do and made Cena tap out, with the fans booing him heavily. He nearly left but then came back for a little more celebrating before standing on the commentary desk. Gunther said Cena tapped out “like a little bitch” and that it was his time now.
Gunther then went to the back where he ran into Otis and Akira Tozawa, then R-Truth. Otis and Truth both verbally slammed Gunther, and Adam Pearce asked him if he was proud of walking over Cena’s legacy. Pearce said Gunther was done for the night and sent him home. The Ring General then exited and headed to his car, where AJ Styles was waiting. Gunther stared off with Styles and gave him the “You Can’t See Me” taunt before driving off.
