GUNTHER Says He’s Honored To Be The WWE King of the Ring

In an interview with Fightful, GUNTHER spoke about winning the first King of the Ring tournament under the new regime in WWE. He noted that he was honored to be in that position. This was the first tournament after Triple H took over as head of creative.

The World Heavyweight champion said: “I wouldn’t say it was a lifetime goal when I was a kid or something, but I’ve always loved tournaments in professional wrestling and that has a very long history, up and down I would say. In the fashion it got brought back, it meant a lot. Very honored to be the first winner in the new version of the King of the Ring.”
