As previously reported, Shawn Chan, the Canadian resident who was accused of stalking WWE Superstar Liv Morgan, was found not guilty by reason of insanity this week. PWInsider has more details on what is next for Chan.

According to the update, Chan was taken into the custody of the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and he will remain in custody until he is deported. Chan was arrested on one count of interstate domestic violence after traveling from Canada to WWE star Morgan’s home in Florida before being arrested at the WWE Performance Center. He was ultimately found not guilty by reason of insanity by the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division.

Investigators alleged that after traveling to the U.S., Chan drove to Morgan’s home, circled the property multiple times, entered through the backyard, and unsuccessfully attempted to access the property’s front door. It’s also said that he remained near the resident for several hours, leaving a note with his name, Canadian address, and phone number before leaving the area.

Chan was later arrested on June 3, 2025, when he was seen at the WWE Performance Center, where security personnel recognized him in surveillance footage following the earlier incident at the home of Liv Morgan.

PWInsider reports that Chan pushed to introduce his insanity defense during his trial. Although he was living in Canada at the time of his trip to the United States, he was originally born in Hong Kong, China. Additionally, the report notes that it’s unclear where he will be deported to.
