Gunther Trolls Audiences On WWE Raw With AJ Styles’ Theme

Gunther got the fans going before taking their joy away, coming out to AJ Styles’ theme song on this week’s WWE Raw. The first hour of Monday night’s saw AJ Styles’ music play, surprising audience who thought they may be getting the newly-retired WWE star. However, the cheers then turned to boos as Gunther came out, mocking Styles’ entrance as he made his way down to the ring.

Gunther hit the rung and waited out the boos before saying that AJ Styles found out what happens when you step into the ring with the Career Killer. That brought out Dragon Lee, who hit Gunther with an enzuigiri before diving onto the Ring General. Lee battered Gunther over the barricade but then nailed him with the ring bell and locked on the sleeper hold.

Officials then came out to break up the hold and Gunther let it go before putting it on again, holding Lee off of the apron. You can see clips from the segment below.

Gunther defeated AJ Styles at the WWE Royal Rumble, making him pass out to a sleeper hold. As a result of the loss, the Phenomenal One was forced to retire from the ring.
