Details On How AEW Return Of Britt Baker Came Together

Britt Baker made her surprise return to AEW at All In on Sunday, and a new report has some details on when it came together. The former AEW World Champion returned on The Buy In pre-show to help Persephone win the AEW TBS Championship from Maya World. In a backstage segment soon after, Baker revealed that she was allied with Persephone going forward.

It had been reported on Friday that Baker was not in London, and Fightful Select notes that she did not travel with the rest of the roster. However, sources had indicated on Saturday that there was word starting to come out that she couuld be involved. Those sources implied that the decision to have Baker return could have been nailed down late in the lead-up to the PPV, though that is not confirmed.

According to sources in AEW, Baker did not arrive in London until Sunday morning and wasn’t at Wembley Stadium until after the show’s call time. It was also pointed out that the merchandise that AEW promoted on social media were all old T-shirt designs and not anything new.

Baker has been brought up several times in the last two years since she was away from TV for a potential return. Baker had been open to a return but they did not end up happening for unknown reasons. Sources close to Baker said that she had taken herself off the road back in 2024, though no word as to why.
