Jacy Jayne Regains Women’s Title At NXT Gold Rush, The Culling Turn On Tatum Paxley

Jacy Jayne is once again the NXT Women’s Champion, winning the title at NXT Gold Rush week one when The Culling turned on Tatum Paxley. Paxley defended her title against Jayne in the main event of Tuesday’s show. Paxley agreeing to face Jayne had been over the objections of Izzi Dame, who had told Paxley not to accept the match.

Paxley and Jayne went back and forth in the match with several nearfalls. Paxley even kicked out of the Rolling Encore to Jayne’s shock. Paxley ended up on the outside of the ring and went to go back in, but Shawn Spears and Niko Vance stopped her and Dame nailed Paxley with a bicycle kick. She threw Paxley into the ring and Jayne hit another Rolling Encore for the win and title.

Jayne joins Charlotte Flair, Shayna Baszler, and Roxanne Perez as the only two-time NXT Women’s Champions. She ends Paxley’s reign at 23 days. Paxley won the title from Jayne at NXT Halloween Havoc.
