NXT Universe! Tonight, the gang is hitting the road for Madison Square Garden (The Theater, to be specific, but still, MSG) for consecutive Tuesdays! The given premise was that there would be titles defended from the likes of NXT, TNA, AAA, and EVOLVE! And, at least for night one, two of these will come to pass tonight!

The AAAAAAHHHHH (According to Chelsea Green) Mixed Tag Team Titles will be defended, as the most prominent Canadians alive, Green and NXT North American Champion Ethan Page, will face off with Joe Hendry and Thea Hail! A couple of weeks removed from injury recovery, Sol Ruca will look to win her Women’s North American Title back from the woman who took it from here, the one and only Blake Monroe! The NXT Men’s Tag Team Titles will be on the line, as the members of DarkState will face Je’Von Evans and the TNA X-Division Champion, Leon Slater! And the NXT Women’s World Title will be on the line, as Tatum Paxley will face the woman that she won the title from, Jacy Jayne! All of this and, as we should expect, so much more in store for us tonight!

So, how are we doing tonight? The Eagles delivered another defensive beatdown of a Top Ten Quarterback and his team Sunday Night to move to 8-2 and back to the top of the NFC. Also, three more days until I get to see Avatar at Stage AE! Can’t wait!

Well, that’s enough about me, let’s get ready for NXT to take over the Big Apple!

Hype video for tonight’s show. It’s really well done. IIRC, I think Jeremy Borash does this stuff for NXT? If so, that checks out.

Vic: You Feeling this, Book?
Booker T: OHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH VIC!

I Believe in Thea Hail! And Joe Hendry, too!

AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles Match: Ethan Page and Chelsea Green W/Alba Fyre (C) vs. Joe Hendry and Thea Hail

Damn it, hearing Mike Rome announce Green to the ring makes me miss Samantha Irvin. IYKYK!

Lot of love for both teams. Hail and Green to start. Green blocks an arm drag and goes behind Hail. Hail shoves her off by holding on to the rope. Fans are split for both ladies. Snapmare by Hail and a front PK. Thea waves Chelsea’s hands for her lol! Hendry and Page are in now. WE BELIEVE chants now. Page takes Hendry to the mat, but Joe kips up, and Page falls on his ass lol.

Page grabs wrist control and looks to keep Hendry on the mat. Hendry rolls around like a Ninja Turtle and hits Page with an arm drag. We reset, Page with a kick to the gut, Hendry off the ropes with a lariat. Stalling Vertical Suplex incoming from Hendry. The cover, Green makes the save, so Hail looks for a Kimora! Green shoves her towards Page, and Thea applies the Kimora to Page lol. The Canadians want double bulldogs, but they almost collide in the center of the ring. Hendry shoves Page into Green, both Page and Green are sent from the ring, and Hail and Hendry do the pose! PIP Break!

Hendry fights to his feet and looks to allude Page’s headlock as we return. Green distracts the ref, big roundhouse kick from Page incoming! Canada Breaker! The cover, two count! Page with a Kimora lock on Hendry! Joe powers up and over with a vertical suplex!

Both men to their feet again. Hendry dishing out clotheslines like rope is going out of business. Hendry ducks one from Page and hits a snap Rana! Hendry rolls through with Page! Jumping Fallaway slam! And from JBL to HBK with the Kip Up! TIME TO POSE! Green in the ring, but Hail low bridges her to the floor!

Hail gets the tag, as everyone is on the floor. Hail to the top, Coffin Drop to Page, Green, and Alba Fyre! She slams the table, and Vic tells her to get decaf lol! Hail returns Green to the ring with a corner clothesline and an Exploder! PK from Hail! The cover, Page saves the match! SUPERKICK from Hail to Page! Green back, looking UnprettiHER, but Hail reverses into the Kimora! Page pushes the pile and breaks up the pin. Green hits the UnprettiHER for the title retention!
WINNER: Chelsea Green and Ethan Page (Still Champions)
TIME: 10:40
THOUGHTS: Fairly good match from everyone involved. Hail and Hendry looked good as a team, but clearly, they were no match for the Greatest Canadians of All-Time!
RATING: ***1/2

In the back, Lola Vice and Jordynne Grace are watching the match. Vice skips from Spanish to English, and Grace is like I didn’t get that lol. Here comes the TNA Knockouts Champion Kelani Jordan! Grace says that Jordan is probably crashing out because she knows this will be her last week with the Knockouts Title. Jordan says that jealousy doesn’t look good on you. See you next week!

COMMERCIALS!

THANK YOU CENA! This one is titled, “Cena seeking approval!” Cena doesn’t think about the fan response. He thinks more about the consumer product and what they can offer. He is okay with what he has done, and he feels that the best instances are when he can execute what he wants, and it works for the product.

Ava is in the back. We are three weeks away from our last PLE of 2025, Deadline, from San Antonio. With the return of Deadline, that means the return of the Iron Survivor. Legends have selected the competitors in the past, but this year, they will do things differently. One person will choose all the participants that will be involved in both matches. And that man is JOHN CENA!

Cue up the Memes and YTP, kids!

Lil Yachty is here tonight! Booker T is mad and wants to know what Vic knows about him lol. Sarah Schriber is in the crowd with Tavion Heights! 2025 has been a wild ride, from Olympic Wrestler to the WWE! He needs to lock in. The reality of the situation is that they are in New York City, and being in the NQCC, he has no regrets. He learned more from them than he did at the Olympics. One thing is for sure; we just heard Ava say that John Cena is picking the Iron Survivor wrestlers. He hopes Cena picks him, and that is the only approval he needs. He’ll see us at Deadline, and you will see him as the Iron Survivor!

Josh Briggs ambushes Heights! They fight out the side and to the back, as refs try to break it up!

Sol and Zaria are in the back. Zaria wants to make sure that she is ready for this. Sol says she is ready for this, and she will get the job done tonight.

Blake Monroe is here!

COMMERCIALS!

(Good, get them the hell out of the way so the match doesn’t get ANY breaks in the action!)

NXT North American Women’s Title Match: Blake Monroe (C) vs. Sol Ruca

The bell rings, and we get an early lock-up. Both ladies struggle for control. Ruca does get the advantage when she takes Monroe to the mat. Monroe back to her feet, she tries to pick the leg of Ruca, but Sol rolls her up for a two count. Monroe to her feet, she drives Ruca to the ropes. She gives a clean break but goes for the bad knee of Ruca. Ruca with a clothesline, but her follow-up misses. Monroe with a Sling blade and a spinning slam for a two count.

Ruca goes behind Monroe; she spins her around like a top and hits a front face slam. Basement SUPERKICK follows for a two count on Monroe. Blake throws Sol down by her hair and tries to torque the bad knee of Sol. Bad no more, as Ruca kicks up and onto her feet and dropkicks Monroe to the corner. Her charge misses, though, and Monroe goes to the outside and smashes the bad knee of Ruca against the ring post. A second time. A third time is thwarted, as Ruca pulls Monroe face-first into the post. Ruca to the floor, she lines up Monroe, but Blake lines her up, and they crash on the floor. PIP Break.

(I said it before, and Imma say it again…BOO COMMERCIALS IN WOMEN’S MATCHES!!!!!)

Monroe applies the pressure to Ruca’s bad knee as we return from break. We see Blake drop Ruca knee first into the corner during the commercial break. Ruca reverses Monroe into a pin for a two count. Ruca back to her feet. Punches, a kick, and chops find some success, but Monroe goes through the drop door known as the bad knee. Ruca with a snapmare and clotheslines to Monroe. Sliced Bread #2 from Ruca! Sol goes to the second rope and hits a missile dropkick!

Sol kips up on one leg! Shinning Wizard from Sol! The cover, Monroe kicks out at two. Sol Snatcher attempt, but Monroe fights her off. Both ladies collide and hit the mat. Blake to the floor, Sol off the corner and hits a moonsault! The censor is working overtime lol. Ruca rolls Monroe into the ring. Whatever she had planned was canceled out by a chop block from Monroe! Single leg crab from Monroe! Blake rips the knee brace down the leg of Sol. Monroe lets go of the hold and removes Sol’s brace entirely. Monroe takes the knee brace and throws it up the ramp. Dramatic lol.

Monroe turns around and gets rolled up for a two count. Sol collapses to the mat, and Monroe puts on another submission. Zaria goes and grabs a white towel! Ruca begs Zaria not to throw the towel in, but Zaria throws it anyway.
WINNER: Blake Monroe Via Towel Tossing (Still Champion)
TIME: 13:20
THOUGHTS: Methodical and paced pretty well, and Sol’s bad knee was the target for the champion. Monroe played her part; Ruca played the match from underneath and gave it her all. A very good match.
RATING: ***1/2

Fatal Influence are in the back and stretching out and looking good. Gold Rush is going to be their night. Jayne doesn’t want to be reminded of Halloween Havoc. Lainey says if she gets a title shot by slapping someone, then so be it. Jayne says next week, Reid is walking out EVOVLE Women’s Champion, and she is walking out tonight NXT Women’s Champion. Fatal Influence will be draped in all the gold!

We see the end of last week’s episode, where Oba Femi made his return and confronted Ricky Saints in the middle of the ring. We see Ricky walking in the here and the now. We will hear from the NXT Champion next!

COMMERCIALS!

This is the Revolution, and Ricky Saints is here! Ricky poses with the title in the corner and then gets a mic. But before he can speak, Oba Femi is here!

Booker T: OH YES, THAT MAN! OBA FEMI! JUST MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNN!

Ricky says incredible, welcome back, Oba! He knew sooner or later he was going to show back up, so it wasn’t a surprise that his dark shadow showed up after he won Last Man Standing. You know what isn’t a surprise? When he took the NXT Title from Femi. But hey, it’s not shock to him, because he’s Ricky Saints. You thought you were going to steamroll me and defeat me. But he knew that the title was grinding Oba down, and he took advantage and took his title. While Femi went back to Nigeria, he held the fort here, against TNA, and whooped Trick. He is glad that Oba is back, the fans are happy, but don’t get it twisted, you aren’t taking the title from me.

Ricky, you haven’t changed, says Femi. You are still the same man that defeated him and the same man with the same bravado. But he is glad that he took his time coming back, because he avoided all that TNA and Trick nonsense. All of that stuff is nonsense and is underneath the RULER! He went home to find himself, he has become even better, and he is back to win his title back. The Absolute Era is over, because he is going to destroy you, he is going to take the title, because the Destroyer is back, the Ruler is back, and your Daddy is back!

You want a rematch at Deadline, asks Ricky. You got it!

Trick Williams has arrived. Ricky Saints! Maybe you can’t hear that good. It isn’t over until I win by NXT Title back.

Myles Bourne is here, and he hits Trick in the back with a chair! Payback is a bitch, Bourne says to Williams. As for the two men in the ring, he will see the winner at New Year’s Evil.

The NXT Tag Team Title Match is up next!

COMMERCIALS!

Ava and Boure are in the back. Ava wants to know what the hell he is doing. Bourne says he didn’t interrupt the title match last week. Ava says that is not how things get done around here. She gets a phone call, and says if he wants Trick that bad, he’ll get him next week.

Meanwhile, in another Universe.

The fight between Josh Briggs and Tavion Heights is still ongoing! When it looks like Heights is getting the upper hand, Briggs smacks him in the gut and the back with a chair. Security is here, but Briggs chokeslams Heights through a table.

Title time continues!

NXT Men’s Tag Team Title Match: DarkState (C) vs. Je’Von Evans and TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater

From wrestling GUNTHER on Raw last night to an NXT Tag Team Title match tonight, the life and times of the Bouncy Je’Von Evans!

Osiris Griffin and Dion Lennox are defending the titles tonight. They try to get the jump at the bell, but the challengers avoid it. Big dive to the outside by Evans. Slater in the ring trying to steal a pin but he gets a two count. Griffing takes out Evans on the floor, leaving Griffin and Lennox to attack Slater. The cover, but Evans breaks it up with a double stomp from the top.

Evans in the ring proper now, as he takes Griffin to the floor. Evans jumps onto the announce table and hits a standing PK to Griffin. Back in the ring, and he hits Lennox with a tilt-a-world head scissor for a two count. Slater gets the tag, but he uses his partner to hit a springboard Rana to Griffin. Both Slater and Evans hit a double team crossbody block to the floor on all four members of DarkState! Commercial time!

During the break, DarkState took advantage of Evans to take control of the match. Tandem offense from the champions, and Lennox pins Evans for a two count. Evans back to his feet, he lands some punches to the gut of Lennox to get separation. Lennox tries to stop him, but he eats a corkscrew kick! Slater gets the tag, and he takes it to both members of DarkState. Griffin sends Slater into the ropes, but he fires back with a springboard back elbow. He heads to the top and hits a super crossbody block from the top to Griffin for a two count.

Evans tags back in, he bounces off the ropes and hits a spinning wheel kick. Utopia from Slater to Lennox! Evans waves to DarkState, as he propels Slater up and over and to the outside to both champions! Evans to the top rope, Frog Splash to Griffin! The cover, two count. Evans gets taken out on the floor; Slater is caught in the tag team powerbomb! The cover, but Evans comes in for the save, but the other members of Dark State move, and Evans ends up hitting Slater! Doomsday Device on Slater, and the champions retain.
WINNER: DarkState (Still Champions)
TIME: 11:00
THOUGHTS: I mean, DarkState just won the tag team titles from the Hardy’s, so I’m not sure that we should have expected a title change here. When the challengers were in control, the pace was pushed, and it was frantic. But when DarkState was in control, it was plodding and kind of boring. You take both extremes and find a medium, and I think I found one.
RATING: ***1/2

Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey are in the back. They discuss Lainey Reid slapping Grey, and Wren talks about Charles returning last week in the NXT/TNA invasion. She says that Charles is ghosting her, but this isn’t about her, it’s about Kendal and her title match next week.

Shiloh Hill is the proud winner of Season 2 of LFG, and he wants to download us some information, so we are up to speed on him. he played football, but he went to Stanford, so he isn’t a jock or a nerd. His family, apparently, stayed on the run and moved in the middle of the night. He got into Stanford by completing online classes in a week. He learned so much, but what he really enjoyed was playing football and hitting people. Check back soon for more!

Trick Williams will face Myles Bourne, and John Cena will decide the Iron Survivors next week! We’ll also have a TNA Knockouts Title defense, the crowning of the new Women’s Speed Champion, an EVOVLE Women’s Title match, and a Men’s EVOLVE World Title match.

Speaking of, we get a video package for the Men EVOLVE World Title match, pitting Jackson Drake against Sean Legacy.

It’s time for night one’s main event!

COMMERCIALS!

Sol Ruca and Zaria are in the back. Sol wants to know why she threw in the towel. Zaria says she didn’t want to see Blake snap her leg and put her out of action for a year. Ruca says she was good; she was going to win her title back. There is a reason that she is a double champion. She shoves the ice pack at Zaria and walks off as Zaria throws her arms up exasperated.

NXT Women’s World Title Match: Tatum Paxley W/The Culling (C) vs. Jacy Jayne W/Fatal Attraction

Super in-ring introductions from Mike Rome before the match.

TATUM chants before the bell rings. The bell rings, as both women circle each other. Lock-up, Tatum grabs arm control. Jacy tries to roll through, but Paxley keeps control. Jacy says she is going to be a two-time champion, but Tatum slaps her on the chest. Jayne with a drop toehold to Paxley, but Tatum rolls up Jayne for a two count. Crucifix by Jayne for a two count. Snap Rana from Jayne, but Tatum fights back with a corner shoulder tackle. Tatum looks for another one, but Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid pull Jayne from the ring. It doesn’t matter, though, as Paxley goes to the top and hits a front flip senton on to all the members of Fatal Attraction! PIP Break incoming.

(BOO YOU, STUPID COMMERCIALS!)

Both ladies meet in the middle of the ring and trade strikes as we return. A big lariat from Jayne nets her a two count. We see during the break that Jayne hits a CANNONBALL splash from the apron on Paxley to turn the tides. Jayne sits Paxley on the top rope, Jayne goes up, and she snaps off a Rana! Out of instinct, perhaps, Paxley hits a superkick and then collapses to the mat.

THIS IS AWESOME chants, as the match resets. Both women trade forearms. Paxley switches levels with kicks and some clotheslines. Jayne sends Paxley to the apron, but Tatum with an enziguri to Jayne. Spinning leg drop by Tatum for a two count. Jayne rams Paxley into the corner, she charges, but Tatum moves. Jayne sucks Tatum in and rams her face first in the corner. Jayne charges and hits a basement dropkick. Paxley fires back with a jumping knee, as both ladies staddle the top rope. Paxley hits a sit-down powerbomb for a two count.

Izzi Dame slides a chair into the ring, but Tatum won’t use it. Roll-up from Jayne gets her a two count. The ref is distracted, and Henley tries to grab Paxley, but she hits a dropkick through the ropes. Jayne hits the Rolling Encore! The cover, but Tatum kicks out at two! Fallon goes and grabs the title belt, but she doesn’t get to use the belt, as Tatum rolls her up for a two count.

Tatum to the outside now. She goes after Jayne on the floor, but The Culling stand in her way. IZZI DAME HITS A BICYCLE KICK TO TATUM! HEEL TURN! Paxley is returned to the ring, and a second Rolling Encore make Izzi a 2-time Champion!
WINNER: Jacy Jayne (New Champion)
TIME: 11:25
THOUGHTS: It was strongly hinted at that there was going to be a heel turn from The Culling on Tatum, and it worked during the main event of a match that allowed Jacy to become a two-time NXT Women’s Champion. Everything fell in place, and the way forward should be interesting. As for the match itself, it was terrific, and a great main event of night one of Gold Rush.
RATING: ***3/4

Fatal Attraction celebrate on the ramp, while the members of the Culling stand over Tatum to end the show.

And with that, we are done!
