Jey Uso Says He’s Still Trying To Prove Himself as a Singles Star in WWE

In an interview with SHAK Wrestling (via Fightful), Jey Uso spoke about his run as a singles wrestler so far and says that he’s still trying to prove himself as a star. Uso will challenge GUNTHER for the WWE World Heavyweight title at Wrestlemania 41.
Jey Uso said: “I don’t know. I just think — no matter what I’m doing right now, I’m still trying to prove myself as a singles star, a singles competitor even though I’ve been by myself for maybe a year and a half. I’m still trying to prove myself man and it’s okay, it’s okay, this is my story. I think a lot of people rock with me because they didn’t see me — they watched me grow in front of them, they know where I came from, they raised me up. So, that’s all imma do, uce. Every Monday, I’m just going to — I show up to work and I make sure I leave it all out there man because I’m trying to enjoy this ride. My father says it all the time, it don’t matter how high you get, you’ll always meet the same people on your way down. Be kind to everyone, be nice, be respectful. That’s us though, that’s family oriented. You can meet all my brothers and everyone and we’ll greet you the same and love you the same man. I’m going to just show up every Monday and do what I got to do and hopefully the people will still ride with me.”
