Joe Hendry To Defend NXT Title Against Ricky Saints At NXT Vengeance Day

Joe Hendry will defend the NXT Championship against Ricky Saints at NXT Vengeance Day next month. Tuesday night’s episode of WWE NXT saw Saints secure a championship match from Hendry during an in-ring promo segment. The promo came after Hendry attacked Saints in the NXT parking lot for Saints’ assault on him last week.

Hendry came out to the ring shortly after and called Saints down to the ring. Saints instead appeared on the podium in the arena and said Hendry stole the title from him, while also accusing Hendry of being a meme come to life. Saints said that he has qualities Hendry lacks in order to be champion in talent and looks. The two went back and forth until Saints challenged Hendry to put the title on the line at Vengeance Day, to which Hendry agreed. You can see clips from the segments below.

NXT Vengeance Day is set to take place on Saturday, March 7th and is the first NXT PLE since NXT Deadline in December. The show is expected to air live on Peacock, and 411 will of course have live coverage of the event. We’ll have an updated card for the show following this week’s episode.
