Keep Refreshing For The Latest Results
SICKOS! It’s Wednesday, you know what that mean! AEW Dynamite is coming to us tonight, albeit it at an earlier start time AND being presented as Live to tape (not nearly as good as Memorex, but I digress). Taped during the company’s weekend stay in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom, tonight’s show will feature a heavy dose of the Continental Classic, as the countdown is on and the finish line is approaching this Saturday at World’s End!
Tonight, we have three C2 matches, two from the Blue League and one from the Gold League. On the blue side, Mascara Dorada will face off with Roderick Strong, with the former sporting three points and the latter with zero points and having officially been the only man eliminated from the tournament so far. Also, on the blue side, Konosuke Takeshita will aim to keep ahold of his tie for first place with seven points as he tangles with Orange Cassidy, who comes in with six points. And on the gold side of things, PAC, who enters with six points, will face Jack Perry, who sports three points and would love to play spoiler, surely.
In non-C2 related events, the Dynamite Diamond Ring will be adorned on the finger of someone other than MJF, as Bandido and Ricochet will do battle for that fine piece of jewelry. Speaking of MJF, he will be in action tonight, as he prepares to take part in the 4-way Men’s World Title match at World’s End. Mina Shirakawa will face off with Marina Shafir, and ahead of their Women’s World Title Match this Saturday, Champion Kris Statlander and Challenger Jamie Hayter will have a face-to-face meeting. All of this and, I am sure, so much more in store for us tonight!
And, as a reminder, here are the Continental Classic Standings heading into tonight:
Blue League:
Konosuke Takeshita (2-0-1-7 points)
Claudio Castagnoli (2-1-1-7 points)
Orange Cassidy (2-1-6 points)
Jon Moxley (2-2-6 points)
Máscara Dorada (1-2-3 points)
*Roderick Strong (0-3-0 points)
Gold League
Kyle Fletcher (2-2-6 points)
Kazuchika Okada (2-2-6 points)
Speedball Mike Bailey (2-2-6 points)
PAC (2-1-0-6 points)
Kevin Knight (2-2-0-6 points)
Jack Perry (1-2-0-3 points)
*Denotes wrestler who is eliminated
I wanted to take the opportunity to wish everyone, on this eve tonight, a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays! The Eagles and the Flyers have given me early Christmas gifts in the form of an NFC East Title from the birds, and a lot of wins and exciting play from the Fly Guys. Apparently, the Phillies and Pacers believe I deserve coal and, frankly, I can’t argue with that LOL!
As an aside, I also would like to remind everyone that Christmas Collision will take place TOMORROW NIGHT AT 9:00PM EST!
So, with all of THAT out of the way, let’s get ready to find the Candy Cane Kendo Stick on 34th Street!

Tonight, Dynamite on 34th Street is LIVE to tape! The power trio of Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Bryan Danielson are on the call tonight!
YOU WANTED WAR!!!!
Wait, on Christmas Eve? Not Cool, Man!
Wait, you know, whatever, man.
Continental Classic Match – Blue League: Orange Cassidy (2-1-6 points) vs. Konosuke Takeshita (2-0-1-7 points)
Don Callis is at ring side, and the fans are quick to serenade him in an arena he knows very well lol.
Tentative start to this match. Cassidy throws his sunglasses at Takeshita, he goes to pick them up, and Cassidy ALMOST steals it on a roll-up. Cassidy with a Rana for another two. Cassidy nearly gets caught out by Takeshita, but he hits a headlock takeover. Another crucifix from Cassidy gets him ever so close to a three. The fans share that sentiment as Takeshita kicks Cassidy off the apron after he tries to do the HBK spot.
Takeshita beats up Cassidy for a bit with a suplex on the apron, focusing on the bad back of Cassidy. Back in the ring, Takeshita applies a variation of the Camel Clutch, before giving it up to put his weight down onto the back of Cassidy. Cassidy to his feet, takeover sends Takeshita to the corner. Cassidy to the apron, he runs Takeshita headfirst into the corners. Takeshita tries to cut it off, but Cassidy hits the Springboard DDT. Off the ropes, Cassidy hits a second DDT for a two.
Cassidy mounts Takeshita in the corner and hits ten punches. Cassidy backs off, but he goes right back to the corner and hits ten more punches. Cassidy backs off and AGAIN goes back to the corner and hits ten more punches. Cassidy gets too greedy, as Takeshita stops another punch, so Cassidy resorts to kicks. Takeshita shoves him away. his swing misses, allowing Cassidy to put the hands in his pockets. THE WORLD’S MOST DANGEROUS KICKS CAVE IN THE SHINS OF TAKESHITA!
Takeshita throws Cassidy into the corner, but he fires back with a dropkick, but Takeshita won’t budge. A second attempt, and Takeshita is still unaffected. Cassidy proves third time is a charm, as he sends Takeshita to the mat. Cassidy takes WAY too long admiring his work, and Takeshita sneaks in from behind and hits the Blue Thunder Bomb! Cassidy rolls out to the arena floor as we hit the break.
Cassidy throws down his elbow pad as we return from break. He runs into a back elbow from Takeshita. Konosuke to the top, he drags Cassidy to the top, BUT CASSIDY WITH AN AVALANCHE STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Takeshita ends up on the floor, Cassidy with the tope into a DDT on the floor! Cassidy returns Takeshita to the ring, but he gets caught by a big pump kick for a two. Takeshita looking Raging Fire, Stun Dog counter is countered by Takeshita, Cassidy reverses into a roll-up for a two, but Takeshita with the wheelbarrow German!
Cassidy misses the first Orange Punch, but he hits a second attempt! The pin, Takeshita kicks out at 2.5! THIS IS AWESOME chants, and like, yeah, I have to agree. Takeshita kicks Cassidy out onto the apron. He goes out and joins him, but Cassidy hits the Beach Break on the apron! So much for Cassidy’s bad back.
Takeshita shoves Cassidy into the barricade, but his follow-up kick sees him crotch himself on the barricade! Orange Punch sends Takeshita out into the crowd! Cassidy returns to the ring, and Takeshita BARELY makes the count back. Cassidy with some roll-up attempts in the ring for two counts. Takeshita finally says F this shit and hits the Raging Fire for the win, and he’s moving on to World’s End!
WINNER: Konosuke Takeshita (3-0-1-10 points)
TIME: 15:25
THOUGHTS: Fantastic match between two guys who are pole opposite in styles but gelled so very well together. Takeshita is moving on to the Semifinals this Saturday, and he absolutely deserves it.
RATING: ****
Gabe Kidd promo. Not going to lie, I didn’t pay overt attention to it, but I am assuming he said he was crazy and said he would kill Darby Allin FRFR.
COMMERCIALS!
Bang Bang Gang promo. Austin Gunn says no one questions how great FTR are, but they weren’t even the best team in Manchester. Juice Robinson suggests that they get rid of the ropes and get rid of the rules, let’s have ourselves a Chicago Street Fight! They have no problem getting their hands dirty against these old boys. And if you’re not done with that, we have two words for you…
GUNS UP!!!
The End of Heartache has been engaged
Continental Classic Match – Blue League: Mascara Dorada (1-2-3 points) vs. Roderick Strong (0-3-0 points)
The bell rings and we get early lock-up action. Strong and Dorada attempt single leg takedowns. Dorada uses the top rope to gain the advantage as Strong backs off. I’m trying to figure out what the fans are chanting, but the guys won’t STFU lol.
Dorada grounds Strong, but Roddy rolls over and applies a sit-down Camel Clutch. Dorada escapes and gets Strong into the surfboard. He slides Strong to the mat and gets a two count. Both men to their feet, Dorada leaps over Strong, he shoves him off, Strong sends Dorada to the apron, but he eats a kick, and a springboard arm drag for his trouble.
Dorada looks to take flight, but Strong moves out of the way and walks around the corner. Dorada makes the mistake of running after him, but Strong snatches him up and hits a backbreaker onto the apron. That’ll take us to the break.
Strong with a kitchen sink into the ropes on Dorada as we return. Dorada does the Spiderman between the ropes and fires back and snaps off a springboard Rana. Strong to the floor, and he thinks he is safe from an aerial assault, but Dorada sneaks out onto the apron, glides around the post, and hits a flying arm drag!
Dorada returns Strong to the ring, goes up top, and hits a Senton Atomico for a two. Strong fires back with a kick, a backbreaker onto the top rope, the Sick Kick lite, and the front face Angle Slam. Despite ALL of that, he only gets a two. Another Sick Kick from Roddy gets him another two. Strong tries the Tiger Driver, but Dorada counters with a Rana for a two. Strong says enough as he hits another backbreaker. End of Heartache is countered, as Dorada ascends to the top again. Shooting Star Press, and Dorada wins this one!
WINNER: Mascara Dorada (2-2-6 points)
TIME: 9:15
THOUGHTS: I’m surprised that Roddy didn’t win here. I don’t want to see him go win-less, perhaps he wins the last match he has, but Dorada was game here, and remains alive in the quest for the Semifinals.
RATING: ***1/2
Video package for the 2025 Sports Illustrated Wrestling Awards. Mercedes Mone and Hangman Adam Page took the Men and Women’s Award, FTR won best Tag Team, Kyle Fletcher won Most Improved, Will Ospreay Best in the Ring, Show of the Year in Double or Nothing, and Best on the Mic in Toni Storm!
Renee Paquette is here to welcome out Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter for a get together! Statlander offers a handshake, which Jamie accepts. Renee wants to start with Kris. She gave this title shot to Jamie rather easily, but Jamie had no problem hitting Kris last week and posing with her title.
Kris says she knows what it is like to have everything taken from her. But you can’t dwell on the past. She had two shredded knees and lost her friends, but she is better than ever. Don’t pity her for what she was, admire her for what she has become. Jamie may have beaten Kris before but look where she is now. You will be standing across from the Cosmic Killer, so prove that you deserve to me here.
Hayter says she has plenty of things to add, as she goes to cheap shot Statlander, but Kris cuts her off. Jamie says just remember, mate, the last time I hit you with this, you didn’t get up.
Both ladies argue and shove each other, as the refs arrive to break it up.
MJF will return to action next!
COMMERCIALS!
Our Favorite Scumbag is back!
MJF vs. Dustin Waller
MJF with the ground and pound at the bell. He proceeds to rake Waller’s face across the top rope and floors him with a running shoulder tackle. MJF runs the ropes for a bit and then knocks over Waller with his crotch. MJF goes to pick up Waller, but Dustin chops him, so MJF slaps him. Hammerlock DDT by MJF into the Salt of the Earth, and that’s a walk in the park, folks!
WINNER: MJF
TIME: 60 seconds
THOUGHTS: MJF returns to the ring and gets to talk. Business as usual!
RATING: N/R
Well look at that, MJF wants to TALK after the match, Color me surprised. Happy Hannukah chants for MJF. But before he can talk, some Cowboys Shit hits and here is Hangman Page! We see him in the crowd, as MJF stares him down.
WHOSE HOUSE? Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland are in another part of the crowd, down a few rows from Hangman. Page to speak. he wants to remind you that the agreement for no physicality got left in Manchester, but we are in the Hammerstein tonight, so go ahead. Go ahead and make some morally corrupt, misogynistic comments. Hangman is sure that the casting directors will love to hear how MJF talks. Go ahead, Max. Go ahead and compare them to another sex pest in the news, because you have a slew of them to compare us to.
My HBO Max decided to take a shit and die, so when it returns, I see Hangman and Swerve beating up the Dojo Jobber Opps. Samoa Joe is on the screen. He says these men weren’t here to do anything important, they were there to prove just how much hate exists between them. Given what Joe has seen, it seems like the hatred has spread throughout. Now that we know where we stand, Joe is going to come after them one-by-one. And rest assured that, at World’s End, it will all end. So, snap off a catchphrase for him!
MJF goes to attack, but Swerve moves, and Page clocks MJF. House Call from Swerve, and Page chokes out MJF with his chain. Swerve wants to tell you guys something. He wants the fans to know that he does, in fact, love the fans, especially here in New York City. He reads the comments, and he feels everything they say. Swerve says that he is about to be scumbag now. He has never met such a bigoted piece of shit like MJF before. And he has toxic power that is unchecked, and that makes him more of a Diddy than he will ever be.
Ouch.
Swerve wants to talk about the victims of MJF and why he is about that. Let’s talk about The Pinnacle. Wardlow. Jay White. And his good friend Adam Cole. They all fell to MJF’s bullshit. But when Swerve gets in the ring with his enemy or his ally…
(Tense stare down with Hangman Page)
He makes them better. So, he is going to snap off one of those catch phrases that Joe wants him to. WHOSE HOUSE, BITCH? See you this Saturday!
Swerve throws the mic down, as Swerve, Page, and Nana take off together, leaving MJF in the ring.
Renee has The Babes of Wrath in the back. They will defend their titles for the first time against Athena and Mercedes Mone, but they face Mya World and Hyan first. Willow and Harley hype each other up as being a kick ass babe who is beautiful. All facts, guys! Harley says that they are coming for Mercede’s ass!
AH-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Dynamite Diamond Ring Finals: AEW National Champion Ricochet w/The GOA vs. ROH World Champion Bandido
History will be made, as someone other than MJF is about to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring!
Early lock-up, as Ricky grabs the hair of Bandido and takes him to the corner. Bandido reverses, and Ricky wants him to back off lol. Both men jockey for wrist control, Ricky takes Bandido to the mat, but he gets rolled up for a two. Despite that, Ricky gets up and poses. he must be asking for more toilet paper lol.
Ricky goes to the outside to get into some fans faces. He returns to the ring, reversals and counters are traded by both men, but Bandido wins out with a Rana and a dropkick. Bandido goes to do the Macarena, but Ricky attacks from behind. Ricky throws Bandido to the apron, Ricky is going to do the Macarena! Bandido returns and whacks Ricky in the back of the head lol.
Ricky gets the jump on Bandido for a second, before Bandido catches him, lifts him with one arm, leaves him in the air for ten seconds, before dropping Ricky onto the apron and to the floor. Macarena Mode activated, as we head to the break.
Ricky has taken over and pulls Bandido to the mat by his hair as we return. Ricky stomps on Bandido as Aubrey admonishes him. Ricky with a chin lock, Bandido goes to fight back, but Ricky with a knee lift to the face. Ricky goads Bandido in to attack him, and Ricky hits a Northern Lights Suplex. They roll through and Ricky hits a second one on the apron. Out onto the floor they go, but Bandido counters Ricky and hits one of his own.
Both men return to the ring. Pump kick from Ricky, he jumps off of Bandido, looking for Vertigo, but Bandido rolls through. Ricky rolls through, both men nearly run over Aubrey in the corner, and Ricky again grabs Bandido by the hair. Vertigo connects, but Bandido kicks out at two! The elbow pad comes off, Ricky loads up the Spirit Gun, but Bandido ducks. Thrust kick from Bandido, but Ricky answers with kicks of his own. Ricky lifts up Bandido, but Bandido reverses off of his shoulders into a Poison Rana!
Bandido lines up Ricky for the 21-plex, but Ricky holds on to the ropes and hits a German for a two. Ricky with a Rana, but Bandido catches him out with the Styles Clash setup into a Powerbomb! That was very clever, but it only gets him a two. THIS IS AWESOME chants, and again, I agree.
Bandido to the top, Ricky avoids it, but he doesn’t avoid his thrust kick. Bandido lifts up Ricky and hits him with the X-Knee! Another 21-Plex attempt, but Toa Liona distracts Aubrey so Bishop Kaun can hold onto Ricky. Ricky with a low blow, but Bandido hits a crucifix pin for the flash win!
WINNER: Bandido (He put a ring on it!)
TIME: 12:10
THOUGHTS: Amazing match, but in the words of the late Sean O’Haire, “I’m not Telling You Something you don’t already know”.
RATING: ****1/4
Post-match, The Demand attack Bandido, but here comes Brody King to run them off. Why he didn’t come down with Bandido in the first place is something I don’t understand, but hey, better late than never!
Lexy Nair has Darby Allin in the back. She says that now that he is cleared, Gabe Kidd has called him out. Darby says he has more important things to worry about than Kidd, as we see someone with a hoodie on walking behind them like a zombie. It’s Gabe Kidd himself, as he attacks Allin. The feed goes out for a bit, and when it comes back, we see Kidd carrying Allin up a flight of steps. He proceeds to throw him down the stairs, then he says you have nothing more important than Gabe Kidd.
COMMERCIALS!
YOU GOT 99 ANSWERS BUT THERE’S ONLY ONE PROBLEM, AND THAT’S FUCKING MINA SHIRAKAWA!!
Marina Shafir vs. Mina Shirakawa
Inset promo from Mina and Toni earlier. Mina says that Toni fights for her, now let her fight for Toni! She wants her to stay in the back for this match.
Mina with a running dropkick at the bell. She lands kicks in the corner, backs off, allows Marina to catch her last kick. Mina grabs her by the leg and slams her knee first down to the mat. Mina to the apron, Marina goes to kick her, but Mina catches it and snaps her leg over the rope. Mina kicks out the other leg of Marina, springboards back in with the splash, but that only gets her a one.
Marina sends Mina to the floor, favoring her knee, but Mina trips her up. She re-enters the ring and hits the missile dropkick from the top for a two. Mina keeps kicking out Marina’s vertical base, but one kick was too many, as Marina picks her up, gets up, and throws Mina down to the mat. That’ll send us to the break.
Mina hits the top rope Sling blade as we return, but it only gets her a two. Mina slaps Marina, Shafir slaps back, but Mina does get the better of it. The Uriken misses, but Mina with a kick to the gut. Roll through into the Figure-Four by Mina. Marina says she is not tapping as she snaps the fingers of Marina. Undeterred, Mina hits the Uriken. Marina to her feet, and she snaps up Mina for the Mothers Milk. Mina passes out.
WINNER: Marina Shafir
TIME: 7:30
THOUGHTS: Mina got a lot of offense in, but it pains me to admit to that Marina wasn’t losing here. It’s amazing that someone who absolutely beautiful and perfect continues to let everyone go over her.
RATING: ***
Post-match, Marina scares off Bryce Remsburg and reapplies the Mothers Milk. Here comes Toni Storm, looking like she is going to take out Shafir, but Marina with one kick leaves Storm laying on top of Mina. Marina leaves the ring, acts the part of an Edge Lord by flipping off the fans, and eventually leaves.
We see some guy from the show Succession at ring side. Apparently, he is friends with Tony Khan and is a fan of the Indiana Hoosiers. Nice!
Lexy caught up with The Elite after their match last Wednesday. Lexy says there is a rumor that they might not be cleared for action for a while. Matt Jackson says it was bittersweet, although they got back together and they got the money, but they won’t be back for the remainder of the year. Kenny Omega says that it was great to get back together, and while the Bucks take time to heel up, there is something that Kenny wants to take care of himself.
The main event is up on the other side of the break.
COMMERCIALS!
Jon Moxley promo after the break. It’s literally the same promo that he cut last Wednesday during the third hour of the show.
Excalibur runs down the matches for tomorrow night’s Christmas Collision and the matches for World’s End this Saturday. What a wonderful time to be an AEW fan, right?

WINNER: Jungle Jack Perry (2-2-6 points)
TIME: 14:25
THOUGHTS: Talk about creating drama, as this result means EVERYONE in the Gold League has six points heading into the last night of round robin action tomorrow night. As for this match, it was a really good main event. Perry trying to out wrestle PAC did not seem out of context, and he stole the points to level everyone out in the Gold League.
RATING: ***3/4
Post-match, LuchasaurusSantasaurus arrives with a plate of cookies and milk for Perry! Perry throws out some of the cookie to fans at ring side as the show ends. And with that, we are done!
