Then. Now. Forever. Together!

Roman Reigns accuses someone of lying and trying to revise their history. The WWE Universe knows how things really went down, and it just establishes them as a hypocrite. We see clips of Punk saying some stuff about Reigns & Pat McAfee. McAfee responded on Friday night and we see some of that. Reigns says it’s embarrassing. He likes Pat, but never before has a punter ran his mouth to him. Nobody believes in Punk, it’s not 2012 anymore. Roman says that either Punk will tell the truth, or he will. Roman Reigns approves this message.

CM Punk is SITTING! Stephanie Vaquer is WALKING! Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss are WALKING! Gunther is WALKING! We’re in Sacramento, Michael Cole & Corey Graves are our hosts. We then see a video of last week’s contract signing between Brock Lesnar & Oba Femi.

Paul Levesque & Adam Pearce are in the ring. Pearce welcomes us to the show. He’s holding a contract, and claims that Brock & Oba will sign separately. Paul Heyman waddles to the stage and introduces himself. Heyman says they’ll sign separately, it’s WrestleMania Fight Week, which means no one needs to get close to Brock Lesnar. Brock walks out and they go down to the ring. Brock signs the contract upon entering the ring and bows before hyping up the crowd. Heyman says the contract might as well be a Nigerian death warrant with one man’s name across it. Brock says the fans won’t even know Oba’s name after this weekend and hands the microphone back to Paul. Paul says there will be a winner & a loser on Sunday. The loser’s name is Oba Femi. Paul talks about going balls deep and calls Brock the greatest athlete in history. Lesnar & Heyman leave.

Cole & Graves throw us to a video recapping the recent exploits of IShowSpeed. Speed now has to tag with the Vision against LA Knight & the Usos. Theory & Logan Paul try to hype Speed up. He’s in this whether he likes it or not. The Usos & LA Knight have it out for him. Everyone hates him except for Theory & Paul. We see some training footage of the highest caliber. Speed does some leapfrogs and some cross-bodies. Slam and a moonsault! Speed with the Boston crab! Arms are raised and everyone is happy.

Charlotte Flair (w/Alexa Bliss) vs. Lyra Valkyria (w/Bayley): Bayley lost to Alexa on SmackDown, which was no surprise since Alexa is 56-0 against Bayley. Tieup, Lyra with a headlock takeover, Charlotte goes for the figure 4 and is pushed off. Headscissor, Lyra gets out and Charlotte kips up. Charlotte takes Lyra down, then shoulderblocks her. Charlotte walks on Lyra, Lyra gets up and slaps her. Charlotte with a chop, Lyra responds with a crossbody & spinning heel kick for two. Corey says he doesn’t like the way Bayley’s looked recently, and I can’t disagree more. Lyra backflips out of the way, they exchange boots in the corner. Charlotte flips in the corner, Lyra blocks a kick, trips Charlotte on the apron and kicks her on the floor. Charlotte avoids a Lyra dive after a delay and kicks her to the floor as we go to commercial.

We return to Charlotte trying to do a moonsault until Lyra yanks her off and hits the top rope Rocker Dropper for two. Lyra goes back to the turnbuckle, a second rope moonsault gets knees. Charlotte tries the figure 4 and gets rolled up for two. Charlotte boots Lyra in the fane and then goes up for the moonsault. Charlotte actually hits it and gets a two count! Lyra blocks Natural Selection and rolls Charlotte up for two. Lyra with some strikes to Charlotte, Charlotte with a chop. Lyra gets a fisherman buster for two. Charlotte tosses Lyra onto Bayley on the outside. Charlotte evades a kick from Lyra and rolls her up, then Bayley yanks Charlotte’s leg and Lyra rolls her up for three!

Winner: Lyra Valkyria (7:24 shown via pinfall)

All four women talk some stuff after, but no strikes are thrown before Charlotte & Alexa leave.

LA Knight & the Usos are joined by Solo Sikoa & the MFT. He’s dealing with a lot of stuff on SmackDown, but the Usos make the family look bad by hanging with LA. Knight suggest a six man tag match for tonight. Jey stares at Solo & yeets before walking off.

Stephanie Vaquer is WALKING! She’ll join us next!

We see a clip from the upcoming Hulk Hogan documentary with folks talking about the NWO turn at Bach at the Beach 96.

Stephanie Vaquer makes her way to the ring. Last week she nearly killed off Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez backstage, but they’re better now I think. Cathy Kelley is here to ask Stephanie about Liv Morgan, but Liv jumps Stephanie from behind! Cathy goes down in a heap, is she ok? Liv is screaming like a crazy person and gets on the microphone to say Let’s Go. Liv says Sephanie’s trash mom raised a little bitch. Stephanie says she’s not waiting until WrestleMania, and jumps on Liv again. Liv is drug off by officials and has her eyes bugging out and is screaming. Cathy is helped out by a couple of referees.

We see clips of Jade Cargill beating IYO SKY on SmackDown while Rhea Ripley took out Jade’s friends. JACKIE REDMOND asks IYO if she has anything to say after her match on Friday night. No one will be rooting for Rhea more than IYO. Asuka & Kairi Sane arrive. Asuka says that last year, IYO was champion, now she’s just Rhea’s sidekick. Asuka says Kairi will fight IYO tonight and prove herself.

LA Knight, Jimmy & Jey Uso vs. The MFTs (Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo & Tonga Loa w/Talla Tonga): The Usos are yeeting through the crowd this week. They’re in Sacramento, it’s all right. JC & Jimmy start, Jimmy with a kick and a slap. Jey tags in, strikes JC in the corner and clotheslines him over the top rope. Jey hits a dive onto JC and we go to commercial!

Solo with a nerve hold on Jey as we return. Yeet punches all around, Solo elbows Jey down, then strikes Jimmy off the apron. Jey kicks Solo down, tags LA. Loa tags in, Mateo joins as well and gets thrown over the top rope. Loa goes for a slam, it ends with a reverse DDT by LA. He hits the LA Elbow for two. Mateo splashes LA, Solo with the spike, then sent over the top. Jey goes for the dive, Solo catches him and throws him off the announce table. Tama Tonga arrives at ringside, Solo asks where he was. Talla stares him down, meanwhile Knight hits the BFT on Loa in the ring for the three count!

Winner: LA Knight, Jimmy & Jey Uso (3:48 shown via pinfall)

The staredown with Tama & Talla continues while Knight & the Usos celebrate. LA dons a Usos foam hand. Cole & Graves give us an update on Cathy Kelley, everything will be ok! We then see Pat McAfee clips from Friday night.

Gunther’s music hits and the Ring General makes his way to the ring. Before Gunther says anything, Seth Rollins attacks! Rollins knocks Gunther out of the ring and grabs a microphone. That was Gunther’s receipt, and in six nights at WrestleMania Rollins will finish the job. If this is personal for Gunther, he should walk down to the ring and tell Rollins why he wants to fight him at WrestleMania. Gunther yells and walks down towards the ring. He enters and bows up to Rollins. He’s solving Heyman’s problem because he’s pissed off by Rollins. Rollins keeps insisting he’s the best wrestler in the world when Gunther is. Rollins can’t lace Gunther’s boots, and they start fighting. Rollins avoids a powerbomb and kicks Gunther down. Rollins tries to stomp Gunther’s head off the steps and Gunther avoids it and leaves through the crowd. The crowd sings Seth’s song while he yells some more.

John Cena voice overs a promo for Club WWE.

We get a teaser for Finn Balor’s Demon, who will be back for the first time in three years to take on Dirty Dom. Dominik Mysterio is mad about it and complains to Adam Pearce. Finn told him the Demon was dead, and he signed to face Finn Balor. Pearce says that Rey Mysterio deserves to be in his match at WrestleMania, and Dom will also get what he deserves thanks to the Demon.

Rhea Ripley is now doing car insurance commercials. I gotta say, I think Ric Flair’s are more amusing.

IYO SKY vs. Kairi Sane (w/Asuka): Kairi takes IYO down and pounds away, they exchange mounts & Kairi stomps IYO down. Kairi spears IYO into the corner and hits an elbow there. Double axehandle off the top gets two. Kairi with a snap mare & chinlock. IYO gets out, Kairi headscissors her and she lands on her feet. IYO flips over Kairi and hits a dropkick. Kairi is by the announce table, she blocks an attempted moonsault & sends IYO into the barrier. SKY with a kick, a moonsault off the barrier takes Kairi down. We go to commercial!

IYO knocks Kairi down with some strikes, kicks Kairi’s head. IYO onto the apron, kick to Kairi. Missile dropkick off the top by IYO, she’s crazy! Bullet Train Attack in the corner. IYO goes up top, but Kairi knocks her off onto the apron. IYO gets control on the turnbuckle, but then gets headbutted into a Tree of Woe, IYO knocks Kairi off the top rope, but Asuka bounces IYO’s head off the ringpost! Rhea Ripley’s music hits, and she goes after Asuka! Rhea goes for Riptide, but here’s Jade Cargill to attack her! IYO dives onto Jade on the floor and yells at Asuka, Kairi misses a backfist and gets kicked down. Asuka blocks the moonsault by knocking IYO off the top, and Kairi gets the three count!

Winner: Kairi Sane (6:53 shown via pinfall)

IYO is mad in the ring while Asuka is happy outside.

Oba Femi is WALKING! He’ll sign the contract next.

Paul Levesque & Adam Pearce are back in the ring so Oba Femi can sign the contract. Oba struts down to the ring wearing his best nightclub wear. It’s different, I don’t mind it. The fans chant for Oba as he signs the contract. Paul & Adam point at Paul Heyman, who’s standing on the stage. Paul has never seen someone come across to an audience as the biggest star in the business as fast as Oba Femi. Oba is a violent man, and that’s what Paul likes most about him. Oba is the most violent man to come into WWE since Brock Lesnar. He’s the fastest rising star to the top since Brock Lesnar. He’s the most impressive athlete, fighter & combat athlete since Brock Lesnar. On Sunday, everything Oba built will crash down in Suplex City with an F-5, and Oba will be conquered by Brock Lesnar. There’s no shame in this loss, Oba is in the real main event of WrestleMania, and when he gets conquered, Paul promises that when Oba needs to rebuild his career, his door will always be open to Oba Femi. Oba would like to beat Paul pillar to post. The physical pain & scars will heal. The fans tell Oba to beat his ass. If Oba beats him up, the physical pain will heal, if he beats Brock, Paul’s emotional pain will last forever. The only door Oba needs opened is the door to WrestleMania. Paul & Brock issued that open challenge. Brock has 25 years saying he can’t be beat, Oba has four weeks saying that Brock can. He & the fans can feel it, it’s time to put an end to the beast, Paul’s been a good mouthpiece, but never an honest one. If Paul was honest, he would have said that his client is scared of Oba Femi. Oba is the mountain Brock can’t conquer. He will slay the beast because he is the one, and has always been the one. Paul will know it too at WrestleMania. The fans chant for Oba, then Levesque shakes hands with him and everybody leaves.

We see Liv Morgan’s new music video! I dunno, I’ve seen worse uses of 4 minutes on a wrestling show.

Je’Von Evans & Dragon Lee vs. Rusev & JD McDonagh: Rusev does not seem impressed with his partner, but JD attacks Dragon right away. JD with some stomps in the corner, he takes Lee down and kicks Je’Von off the apron. Snap suplex by JD, Rusev tags in and tosses Dragon around with suplexes. JD tags back in and kicks Dragon before hitting a back suplex. Rusev is in and Dragon tries to fight back, he ranas Rusev into the corner and tags Evans. Running knee to Rusev, tope suicida on JD. Top rope clothesline by Evans. JD charges and winds up outside. Rusev tumbles over the top rope, but blocks an Evans dive with a punch. JD takes Dragon off the apron, then hits an Asai moonsault. Evans punches JD down, dives onto Rusev but gets caught and fallaway slammed over the announce table. Rusev mocks Evans as we go to commercial.

Evans tags Lee as we return. Lee ranas JD onto Rusev on the floor, then a snap dragon suplex in the ring on JD. A standing Spanish Fly gets two for Dragon. Evans Red Dots Rusev, then dives onto him on the floor! Dragon hits a Styles Clash on JD and gets the three count!

Winner: Je’Von Evans & Dragon Lee (5:09 shown via pinfall)

Rusev attacks Evans & Lee from behind and goes to put Lee in the accolade before Rey Mysterio appears. Rusev gets kicked into position, but Rusev clotheslines Rey instead. Here comes Penta! Penta with chops, but he runs into a Machka Kick! Evans goes for the OG Cutter and slammed down by Rusev. Machka kicks all around! Dragon gets put in the Accolade and it’s game over. Rusev stands tall.

Adam Pearce’s phone call is interrupted by Danhausen, who thinks John Cena is on the phone and wants to talk to him. Pearce denies it’s Cena, and Danhausen disappears.

Roman Reigns’ music hits! Ones go to the sky as the OTC makes his way to the ring. Roman walks around in a circle for awhile so the fans can amuse themselves with various pro-Reigns & Punk chants. Roman asks for acknowledgement from Sacramento. Then Cult of Personality hits & CM Punk…takes his sweet time coming on down. Ah, he’s in the crowd! Punk walks down the steps and slaps hands with the fans while making his way to ringside. Punk mounts the announce table. Punk says after watching the cold open with a smear political campaign, he’s come down to tell the truth. Roman can be the judge, jury & executioner, and tell Punk when he’s telling lies. Roman says if Punk enters the ring, they won’t need microphones. Punk stands on the apron. Punk hates Roman. He hates him because he envies him. This is all Punk ever wanted, the only dream he had in his heart since he was a little kid, he envies the fact it was handed to Roman. He hates that he was champion for 1,316 days, after some self-reflection, Punk knows how hard Roman worked to be that great. They won’t ask how, but how many, and Punk hates that number, and how many times Roman has main evented WrestleMania. Punk hates that he feels this way. Sika was a great man, wrestler, champion & Hall of Famer. Punk loves and respects the old timers, he hates the fact that he invoked Sika’s name in vain and he apologizes to Roman. Punk steps in the ring and says that he hates the fact that there’s more than one royal family in wrestling, and he envies the fact that he wasn’t born into a dynasty. Punk was built in the backyards of Chicago, he had to find his own family in the streets & the locker rooms. He found his people on the indies, then he went all around the world and wasn’t handed anything. Punk made wrestling his home & family. Punk hates that he has to share anything with Roman, including headlining WrestleMania. Punk has gold on his shoes & waist, and late Sunday night he’ll have gold above his head and the ring announcer will declare him the winner and the fans will chant his name.

Roman says it’s the truest stuff he ever heard Punk say, until the end. He hates Punk too. He hated him for a long time, the main reason is his relationship with the people. Roman hopes that when he leaves, the fans miss him as much as they miss Punk, and they chant for him for ten years afterward. On Sunday, the reality is that time’s up, and there will be a new World Champion. We fix this mess that Punk started, and make this place where we had it at the very top worth every single dollar. The OTC will be back on top and everyone will acknowledge him. Roman & Punk stare at each other as our live event comes to an end. So long for now!
