Hey kids! Steve Cook here with you for the latest episode of WWE Raw on Netflix! Big thanks to Thomas Hall for filling in for the live coverage last week, make sure you check out his reviews of every single wrestling show on television or streaming. Dude’s out there reviewing some stuff I didn’t even know existed. Anywho, I’m back this week for the show and it looks like we’ve got some fun on tap before the crew heads to Italy for the big event this weekend.

In Memoriam: On this Memorial Day in the United States I definitely want to pay homage to the men & women that fought & put their lives on the line on behalf of this country. Regardless of where we stand on issues of the day, we should all give our troops the respect & remembrance they deserve. I also want to recognize the recent passing of NASCAR legend & former WWE 24/7 Champion Kyle Busch, who left us at the way too young age of 41. Kyle made a couple of appearances on Raw, in addition to defeating R-Truth to win the 24/7 Championship in 2019 he served as a Guest Host of Raw in 2009 alongside fellow NASCAR driver Joey Logano. Kyle was one of the most successful drivers of his or any other generation, and his untimely passing leaves a void for NASCAR fans everywhere similar to the void Dale Earnhardt left when I was a younger fan. Love him or hate him, Kyle Busch put on one hell of a show. We send our condolences to his family, friends & fans.

Then. Now. Forever. Together!

Raw is in Columbus, Ohio! Michael Cole & Corey Graves are our hosts, and Paul Heyman is in the ring while we show a graphic for the Brock vs. Oba match this Sunday. He introduces himself and welcomes us to Raw. He’s here tonight to hype us on a hype that needs no hype. It’s the biggest rematch in pro wrestling history. The fans chant for Oba & bark. Paul tells the fans to shut the hell up and continues with his spiel. Oba will be conquered by the beast incarnate.

We cut to a video with Brock congratulating Oba on his previous victory. The victory will cost more than Oba imagined. The asswhooping was humbling, it was so bad that he said “That’s it, I’m done”. That doesn’t sit will with him, it won’t end that way. Brock can take an asswhooping, can Oba? He’ll get his ass kicked by a humbled, retired Beast. Brock will conquer Oba and rule over him.

Paul tells us that the good news is that everyone watching will get to watch history play out on Sunday. The bad news for everyone that worships Oba is that Oba has awakened the beast. This means one thing…but we don’t hear what that is since Oba Femi’s music hits. Oba hits the ring while Paul checks his pulse. Oba backs Paul into the corner while the fans chant & bark. Oba asks Paul what the beast & 4 F-5s have awakened in Oba Femi. He’s not going to hurt Paul, he needs him alive & well to tell the tale of Brock Lesnar. The end is his favorite part, where he retires Brock for the second time. Paul is a sleazebag, it’s just business, but 4 F-5s are personal to Oba. Oba produces the contract and signs it on Paul. Oba tells Paul to tell Brock that last time he was fighting to beat him, this time he’s fighting to kill him. Oba walks off while Paul looks at the contract.

We see a video package chronicling Saturday Night’s Mani Event. Penta defended the IC Championship against Ethan Page. Becky Lynch got disqualified against Sol Ruca & booked into a rematch at Clash in Italy. Austin Theory & Logan Paul beat the Street Profits with some help from Heyman, Bron Breakker & brass knuckles.

Roman Reigns is WALKING AFTER REJECTING A BIRTHDAY PRESENT! Jacob Fatu is WALKING! Rey Mysterio is WALKING! The Judgment Day are WALKING!

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Penta (c) vs. Je’Von Evans: Je’Von shoos Penta out of the way so he can do his flip into the ring, not sure how smart that is. Some respect kinda shown after the bell, Evans goes for the cutter early, Penta blocks but there’s a rana. Evans flips out of a Penta rana. Penta chops Evans, Evans & Penta both trip each other before a standoff. They do a strut before Evans dropkicks him, then gets bouncy and dives onto Penta outside. Evans springboards into a superkick. Penta goes for the handstand dropkick in the corner and hits it for two. Evans avoids the Penta driver and hits a kick that sends Penta outside. Evans tries another dive, but this time Penta sends him into the corner of the announce table! That looks like it hurt, and we go to commercial.

Evans has recovered when we return, in fact he dived on Penta and then hit a springboard clothesline for two. Evans with a chop. Penta knocks Evans down with one of his own. Evans hits a bicycle, then hits the OG Cutter for a two count. Evans tries a springboard rana, Penta reverses into a backstabber for two. Penta motions for the Destroyer, runs into a kick instead. Penta ends up on the apron, so Evans hits the OG Cutter on the apron for two. Penta catches Evans, hits the Penta Driver for two. Penta heads up top, Evans meets him with a punch, follows him up but Penta knocks him off. Evans vaults up top, hits the Spanish Fly. Goes for the cutter again, Penta with the superkick. Evans with a kick of his own. Evans goes for the cutter, Penta with the backstabber, then the Mexican Destroyer ends things.

Winner: Penta (8:28 shown via pinfall)

Penta pulls Evans up and raises his arm, but Evans brushes it off and leaves the ring. Perhaps some bitterness beginning to percolate within the Young OG?

Cole tells us that Logan Paul suffered a torn triceps and will be out multiple months. We see a replay of the moment of the injury. Austin Theory is backstage with Heyman, and he tries to hand him the Tag Team Championship belt since Logan is hurt. Heyman informs him that “The Vision” are the Tag Team Champions, and Bron Breakker will be joining him. Theory hugs Heyman and Heyman tells him he did it for him. Theory wants to take out everybody involved with hurting Logan, Heyman says that he knows what he needs to do tonight, and to whom. Man, if there was ever a group I wouldn’t want to be part of, it’s The Vision. Everybody involved in it ends up missing time due to some type of injury.

Joe Hendry leads the audience in “Can We Fire Logan Paul?” until Theory attacks him from behind with a steel chair. He wears Hendry out with the chair and tells him to keep his name out of his mouth. Then he smacks a kneeling Hendry in the face with the chair, which frankly seems a bit over the top.

Seth Rollins tells Angelo Dawkins he stayed out of their business on Saturday, he’s sorry and he knows how it is to deal with the Vision. They’re the most dangerous they’ve ever been, but if they come together they can finish the Vision for good. Montez Ford says nothing good happens when Rollins is around. Rollins replies that if he was around on Saturday the Street Profits would be champions right now. They don’t have to be friends, they just need to work together. One of them in the circle has main evented WM and has been a multi-time World Champion, and it isn’t Montez. Montez says he’s never turned his back on his brothers. Montez suggests they can wrestle tonight, and Seth is ok with that. Dawkins doesn’t seem thrilled.

Raw will be at 2 PM Eastern next week since it’s taking place in Turin, Italy! Corey tosses us to a hype video for Americano vs. Americano narrated by Rey Mysterio. We see some footage of famous mask matches from the past and clips of the Americanos fighting. That’ll be this Saturday at 10 PM on YouTube! I can review that one, the Raw in Italy…well we’ll see.

Je’Von apologizes to Penta about being unprofessional out there. Penta’s cool, he’s proud of him and Evans says he’ll see him again real soon. Rey appears and puts Penta’s performance as IC Champion over. Penta congratulates Rey for being the new AAA General Manager, and wants to face Rey for the IC title to help cement his legacy by facing the very best. Rey is down with it.

Bayley & Lyra Valkyria vs. Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez (w/Liv Morgan & “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio): Bayley & Lyra broke up an attack after last week’s Tag Team Championship, which led to this match tonight. Raquel & Roxanne attack before the bell, Bayley & Lyra fight back. The bell finally rings and Lyra slams Roxanne. Bayley tags in for the double team, Roxanne gets smashed in the corner. Roxanne tags Raquel after hitting Lyra. Roxanne now gets worked over in the Bayley/Lyra corner. Raquel hits a running cross-body on both of them. Raquel works Lyra’s arm. Raquel with some elbows to Lyra in the corner. Lyra with a dropkick, but Raquel hits snake eyes in the corner. Raquel distracts the referee while Roxanne gets a cheapshot in. They do it again, the crowd kind of reacts this time around. Raquel hits a Vader bomb elbow as we go to commercial.

Raquel flies over the top rope as we returns, but yanks Lyra out onto the floor. Raquel tries to drive Lyra into the ringpost and they stumble into it. Bayley tags in and hits a tope suicida on Raquel. In the ring, an elbow off the second rope gets two. Bayley goes for the sunset flip, Raquel blocks with a clothesline. Roxanne tags in, gets back suplexed by Bayley. Bayley hits that sunset flip into the turnbuckle and tags Lyra. Samoan drop/neckbreaker combo gets two, Roxanne is too close to the ropes and Liv helps her anyway. The referee ejects Liv, Bayley hits her & Raquel runs her over. Lyra jumps on Raquel. Roxanne rolls Lyra up in the ring for two, goes for Pop Rox but gets kicked instead. Dom distracts the ref while Raquel knocks Bayley off the top, Pop Rox gets two. Lyra ranas Raquel over the top. Dom back on the apron, he puts his AAA Mega Championship in the ring. Bayley & Roxanne fight over it, Bayley lets go and Roxanne stumbles into Dom! Bayley rolls Roxanne up for three.

Winner: Bayley & Lyra Valkyria (7:46 shown via pinfall)

We look back at last week, when Jacob Fatu got beat up by Roman Reigns, Jimmy & Jey Uso.

Adam Pearce tells Roman Reigns that Jacob Fatu shouldn’t even be employed right now. Roman doesn’t want to go back to his old ways, but he needs to show the stroke they have. As the Tribal Chief, he can’t ever back down. There need to be consequences in the contract. If Jacob loses, he has to serve him. If Roman loses, good luck, because they’re all screwed.

LA Knight is WALKING! He’ll talk to us next, YEAH.

Cole & Graves thank the veterans and throw us to a Memorial Day video package narrated by Cody Rhodes.

Earlier today, Bayley & the Street Profits visited the National Veterans Memorial & Museum in Columbus.

LA Knight makes his way down to the ring. It’s been a minute since he’s been here to speak to us, in fact it’s been since WrestleMania. He wants to wish us a happy Memorial Day and thank folks for their service. He put the Vision in the rear view mirror and had the Usos standing beside him. They’ve been doing things differently lately. He throws his name in the hat for the King of the Ring tournament, which means he’ll get a shot at Roman Reigns’s World Championship. Roman’s the most corrupt Champion he’s ever seen and is trying to stir some old things up, making Jimmy & Jey different than the Jimmy & Jey he knew.

Jimmy Uso makes his way to the ring. Jimmy says he has a lot of respect for LA. They fought side by side at WrestleMania. LA’s not a fan of them working 3 on 1 with Roman, it rubs him the wrong way. Jimmy understands why he & everybody else has issues with the Bloodline. They did what they had to do, it’s not like that anymore. Jimmy approves of LA going for the King of the Ring, and if he wins he’ll get a fair shot at Roman. LA asks if Jimmy’s being honest with himself. LA saw what they did to Jacob last week, he says Jimmy is coming out as third fiddle and he doesn’t want Jimmy to be Roman’s errand boy. Jimmy says this is LA’s warning shot, and he’s lucky Jey isn’t here tonight. Jacob has nothing to do with LA, it’s family business. If LA keeps disrespecting the OTC, their family will become his business. LA says Jimmy is the one he likes. Jey is ok, Roman is the one he didn’t like then and doesn’t like now. He needed Jimmy & Jey because he couldn’t get it done on his own. If the family business becomes his business, he’ll put them out of business, and Jimmy can tell Roman that while spelling his name right, YEAH.

Pearce & Rey shake hands as fellow GMs. Pearce likes the idea of Penta vs. Rey, Ethan Page interjects and says he wants a rematch. Pearce says Page is butting into a conversation he doesn’t belong in. Rusev joins in as well and Page insists Rey is trying to jump the line on him. This leads to Rey & Rusev getting booked into a match for tonight for a future title shot against Penta.

Seth Rollins vs. Montez Ford: Two pig-headed & stubborn dudes, per Cole. Angelo is backstage and letting it play out! The fans sing Seth’s song. Tieup, they work around the ropes into the corner. Some shoving, Ford & Rollins run the ropes, Rollins with a shoulderblock. Ford with one of his own, then a shove by Rollins. Some punches from Ford, Rollins boots him outside and hits the tope suicida. Rollins goes for another one, Ford sends him outside and does one of his own. Both men go for a cross-body and they’re both down. We go to commercial.

We return and Rollins chops Ford. Ford with one of his own. Punches exchanged. Rollins’ Pedigree is blocked, but he hits a forearm. Ford with a clothesline, misses the standing moonsault but hits the step-up enziguri. Ford lands on the apron, tries to go up top, Rollins joins him and hits the superplex into the Falcon Arrow for two. Ford blocks the Pedigree, that turns into a series of near-falls. Ford with a kick, Rollins with one. Ford gets Rollins in a torture rack, Rollins flips out and hits a Pedigree for two. Rollins talks to Ford about working together, they want the same thing. He’s trying to change! Ford slaps Rollins when he asks if he’s hearing him. Buckle bombs to Ford. Ford avoids the third and ranas Rollins out of the ring. Ford flies over the ringpost and onto Rollins! Ford up top, Rollins joins him and gets knocked off. Big frog splash gets two for Ford. Ford kicks Rollins from the apron, goes up top and misses a 450 splash! Rollins stomps Ford and gets the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins (9:32 shown via pinfall)

Theory attacks Dawkins with a chair on the stage! Dawkins is out and Pearce & the referees are out to check on him.

We see a replay of Dawkins getting attacked, they use a pretty poor camera angle that shows a little too much daylight between the chair & Dawkins’ head on the ground. Pearce talks to Ford, Rollins comes up and Ford accepts his help in future Vision-related endeavors. Ford goes to check on Dawkins, and Rollins tells Pearce that he wants Bron Breakker as soon as possible.

The first hour of Clash in Italy will air on ESPN, and it’ll feature Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther & Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill. Cole & Graves run down the rest of the card.

Cathy Kelly is backstage with Becky Lynch, she notes that Becky has the upper hand now with Sol being injured. Becky says that Sol got punched in the face and realizes that she’s in over her head now. Some might be impressed with her tricks & flips, but she hasn’t won a match fairly yet and her time is running out. Becky hopes that Sol can come around to Italy, so she can see there’s a difference between striving for greatness and being greatness.

Rey Mysterio vs. Rusev: Ethan Page joins Cole & Graves on commentary for the match. Rusev wins the tieup, obviously. Rey with a shot to the back. Rusev chases Rey and he ends up outside the ring. Rey with a slap to Rusev. Rey with a flying headscissors, Rusev cuts off the 619 attempt with a back elbow. Vertical suplexes by Rusev. Rusev lifts Rey on his shoulders, Rey fights out, kicks Rusev to the floor, then sunset flips him into the barricade! Rusev catches Rey on the rana attempt and flings him into said barricade. We go to commercial!

Rusev stops a Rey rally as we return. Rey is placed on the top turnbuckle. Rusev goes for the superplex, Rey blocks and hits a seated senton. Headscissors by Rey, he lands ten punches in the corner but Rusev walks him to the middle of the ring. Rey avoids an Earthquake splash and hits a senton then a Lionsault for two. Rey with the bulldog, he gets caught on a crossbody and slammed down by Rusev. Machka kick gets two. Rey slides away from an Accolade attempt, then kicks Rusev in the gut. Rusev catches Rey on the 619 attempt, then goes for the Accolade, but Rey schoolboys him for the three count!

Winner: Rey Mysterio (6:25 shown via pinfall)

Rusev stomps Rey down until Dragon Lee’s music hits! Page runs in and he’s not much help. Page gets suplexed & superkicked, then dove into on the floor by Lee. Rey hits the 619 on Rusev, then Lee hits the Operation Dragon!

Pearce tells Theory to go home since his night is over. Theory says he’s a tag team champion and asks if it wasn’t enough for what happened to his friends. Heyman takes Theory away and they walk by the Alpha Academy. Otis says it smells like bad news, Maxxine says he’s just in a bad mood and walks off, leaving Otis & Tozawa. They’ve been teasing this Theory/Maxxine burgeoning alliance in the background for awhile now, I wouldn’t recommend it unless Maxxine wants to miss months due to injury like everyone else that associates with Theory & the Vision. Maybe she does, who knows.

We see what happened last week with Oba Femi getting attacked by Brock Lesnar.

Next Week: King & Queen of the Ring Tournaments begin!

It’s contract signing time! Jacob Fatu makes his way to the ring. Adam Pearce hands Jacob the contract and Jacob has no issue signing it and shoving it into Peare’s chest. Then he throws the chairs & the table at the security guards in the aisleway. Everybody is in the ring when the OTC’s music hits and the ones in the crowd go in the air. Roman enters the ring and signs the contract before handing it to Pearce. The fans sing Roman’s name, some wish him a Happy Birthday. Roman tells Pearce & the security guards to leave, Jacob signed the contract and can’t touch him until Italy. Pearce tells “Uce” to have it his way. Is he allowed to say that? Roman asks Columbus to acknowledge him. That was all Jacob had to do, acknowledge him. It could have been simple and they could have moved on to the next mission. Jacob says “hell naw”, he’s not like everyone else. Roman is the reason why their family is living the life they have. He’s the reason why they’re on top of the mountain. Roman took them to the promised land. He could only take them so far, it’s time for a change, another direction & destination. While Roman’s talking about honor, respect & the code of the Bloodline, Jacob asks if he lived by that code or if he bent the rules so he could beat him. Roman did what he had to do by any means necessary. Jacob’s gonna dogwalk his ass, and when he gets done everyone will have consequences. Roman wants to talk about consequences. If Jacob wins, he’ll become the head of the table, the shot-caller. But if Jacob can’t, Roman will walk him like a dog and domesticate him. Jacob will serve him and learn from him. In time, Jacob will love his tribal chief. It looks like a win-win to Jacob. If Roman does dogwalk him, Jacob will still have a job here, nothing will change. If Jacob does the dogwalking, everyone, especially Roman, will learn how to acknowledge him. Jacob offers his hand and Roman grasps it. They bow their heads to each other as our live event comes to an end. So long for now!
