Update on Kamille’s AEW Contract Status

Is AEW doing anything more with Kamille? The multi-talented athlete who also recently played June Byers in the movie Queen of the Ring, hasn’t been seen much lately. Fans will speculate about such things, wondering whether or not that means she’s left the company. As a bodybuilder, actress and previous football and softball player, she has options. As a wrestler, she’s also a former AAA Women’s Lucha Libre World Cup winner.

It doesn’t sound like she’s exercising those options, though, at least not yet. She just doesn’t have anything to work with in AEW right now, following her big split with Mercedes Moné, which apparently wasn’t drawing mon-ey. In a new edition of Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp noted that she remains under contract to AEW.

He also added that she has not been backstage or involved in any creative meetings lately, and that while Mone was willing to work with her to further their split storyline, AEW opted not to do that as they apparently felt the pairing wasn’t working.

He also points out that she did take time off to shoot American Gladiators.

Previously, Tony Khan has implied her return is a matter of “when” and not “if.” That was a while ago.
