During a recent appearance on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, former WWE broadcaster Kayla Braxton spoke about dealing with wrestling fans who will follow wrestlers and talents to hotels and airports, seeking autographs, and how it happened to her weekly. She also addressed how it’s made her feel unsafe. Below are some highlights:

Her Thoughts on the Issue of Fan Accessibility and Fans Following Them at Airports and Hotels

“I know they like — there’s like the boundaries. They just don’t — the accessibility that they have, I think, is a real problem. Like they shouldn’t be able to show up to your baggage claim or wait for you at the airport. Or like follow you up to your rooms at the hotels. Like these things need to be stopped. But I don’t know. They just keep happening.”

On Times She Has Felt Unsafe

“They’ve got to figure that out, man. Cuz there there was too many times like I felt like really unsafe, and those — I mean a lot — all the girls do and the guys, and again it’s like they have this sense of accessibility. So they’re not — it’s going to get worse. Have again going to the airport at 5:00 a.m., leaving a SmackDown and having some dude with 40 bikini photos of me with their child right next to them that should be in bed because they know if they had their kid with them, we might not say no to them. Like, get a clue.”

Kayla Braxton on How She Started Dealing With Autograph Seekers

“Well, I mean, I would start — Nikki Cross taught me this once cuz she would like to be like cuz they’d bring you a lot of posters to sign. ‘You know, they’re going back to resell them.’ I think it was her. Maybe it wasn’t her, but somebody on the roster was like, ‘I’ll sign one for you.’ And that’s it. Because I know you’re about to go sell them. ‘I’ll sign it for you, and I’ll personalize it to you because here you go. Here’s a courtesy that I don’t even owe you, but I’ll give this to you. I’m not about to make you a bunch of money to sign to sell more photos of me.’ And that’s kind of how I started working, too.”

Kayla Braxton departed from WWE in June 2024. She later explained she felt she accomplished everything she could in WWE.
