Kevin Owens and Elias Gain Massive Heat From Seattle Crowd During Raw (Video)

– Kevin Owens and Elias picked up some pretty incredible levels of heat from the Seattle crowd during Monday’s episode of Raw. You can see video below of the duo earning a long, sustained period of boos after they referenced the Seattle Supersonics’ departure from the city back in 2008, moving to Oklahoma City where they became the Thunder.
The situation has always been a sore spot for Seattle sports fans, as franchise owner Clay Bennett was accused of failing to negotiate in good faith with Seattle on a potential deal to keep the team in the city. Seattle even famously publicly released email conversations from Bennett’s ownership group which suggested that some people in the group wished to move the team to Oklahoma City before they bought the Supersonics in 2006. That bad blood prompted the reaction to Owens and Elias’ comments. The two are set to team up against John Cena and Bobby Lashley at WWE Super Show-Down this Saturday.
Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com was at the Key Arena for RAW last night and tweeted the following…
Dude, this heat. #Raw

Coincidentally, perhaps the biggest pop I’ve ever heard live was also in this same building about 20 years ago for, of all things, New Age Outlaws doing their catchphrase. #RAW

This is the craziest negative reaction I’ve ever heard live. I am not kidding. #RAW pic.twitter.com/PBrg17vxkv
