Kevin Owens Jokes At WWE Live Event About Undisputed Title Match Loss

Kevin Owens cut a short promo about his Undisputed WWE Title match loss to CM Punk on Smackdown during last night’s WWE live event. As noted, Owens battled Punk at Friday’s show for the latter’s championship, but was screwed over by Sami Zayn.

Owens appeared at WWE’s Summer Tour stop in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He showed up after The Miz attacked Danhausen and defeated Miz in a match. After the match, Owens addressed the crowd and joked about his title loss.

“I was hoping when I showed up here tonight, I was hoping my bad would be a little heavier and I’d have a shiny WWE Championship around my waist,” Owens began. “Oh, not around my waist, it wouldn’t really fit. Over my shoulder.”

During Kevin Owens’ promo battles with Punk, he referenced how Punk had previously called him a “fat indie slob.” During Friday night’s show, Zayn initially tried to help Owens win the title by giving him the belt to hit Punk with, but when Owens gave it back Zayn hit him with it. That allowed Punk to get the win, and Zayn attacked both men to close the show.
