Killer Kross & Scarlett have been keeping themselves busy since departing WWE. Kross is currently the MLW World Champion and has held other titles across the world after leaving the spotlight of WWE. It’s not a life for everyone, but Kross & Scarlett from all accounts are happy with how things are going.
1010XL’s Trent Osborne caught up with Killer Kross & Scarlett at the 2026 River City Wrestling Con in St. Augustine, Florida over the weekend, where they talked about their current successes & their previous employer’s recent happenings.
Killer Kross on their Success on the Indies Over the Past Year:
“Having a relationship and a connection that’s authentic with the audience. It’s very easy. Everyone’s been saying, you know, attention is currency. That’s not the highest currency. Authenticity is the highest currency. And the professional wrestling audience has been starving for it. I tried to talk about this two years ago and pointed out. Some people didn’t want to hear it. The audience definitely were like, “Hey, I think he’s on to something.” Turns out we were right.”
Killer Kross on Recent WWE Departures:
“No, because I saw this coming and I warned everyone…We’re not surprised. I mean, it’s unfortunate. I mean, look, the model has to compliment everyone. I mean, I shouldn’t even get into this, but you guys see what’s going on. I don’t need to paraphrase anything that’s happening. You see what’s happening. I mean, what are you gonna do?”
