Kyle O’Reilly Praises El Phantasmo, Recalls Training With Him

Kyle O’Reilly got into the wrestling business training alongside El Phantasmo, and he recently had great things to say about the NJPW star. O’Reilly spoke with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview and talked about getting his start at the same time as Phantasmo.

“We broke in together and learned how to wrestle together in the same class and did our first matches together,” O’Reilly said. “We go way back. An incredible talent.”

He added, “I’m glad he’s finally getting the recognition he deserves as one of the elite talents in the world.”

O’Reilly competed against Roderick Strong for the AEW International Championship at AEW Dynasty, but failed to capture the championship.
