Location and Venue Confirmed For WWE Summerslam
WWE announced before the Belmont Stakes on NBC that Summerslam will happen at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, August 21. This is the new NFL stadium that was built for the Las Vegas Raiders for $1.9 billion.
It’s believed the venue will draw a sellout crowd of 72,000 fans, according to Arash Markazi (see below). Tickets for the event are scheduled to go on sale on Friday, June 18. Fans can register to the ticket presale HERE.
Speaking on the news in a press release, WWE President and Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan stated, “Coming out of the pandemic, it was important to us to have a big event like SummerSlam in Las Vegas. We expect to deliver a great night of sports entertainment for the people of the city and a boost in foot traffic for the casinos and local businesses.”
Raiders President Marc Radain added, “The Raiders are thrilled to join WWE in hosting SummerSlam at Allegiant Stadium in August. WWE is a leader in global entertainment, and to host one of its signature events in the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World is a perfect fit. The Raiders look forward to SummerSlam and a full schedule of events and entertainment to come at Allegiant Stadium.”
WWE SummerSlam 2021 will stream live exclusively on Peacock in the United States. It will be available on the WWE Network everywhere else.
