Lyra Valkyria Reveals Unique Origins of Her WWE Name, Shares Her Goal for 2026

WWE Superstar Lyra Valkyria recently revealed the unique origins of her in-ring name and also opened up about her goal in the promotion this year.
The Irish star spoke to Nerdtropolis recently, and during the conversation, the host asked her if there is anything that she carries when she’s on the road. Lyra revealed that she always carries along popular dark fantasy book series from Derek Landy called Skulduggery Pleasant. She further added that the origins of her character name stem from this book.
When asked about her goal in 2026, the former Women’s IC Champion said that she is really looking forward to how her story with Bayley plays out, adding that The Role Model brings out her “inner idiot.”

“Oh, like a book. Yeah, it’s an Irish book called Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy. It’s actually where I got the Valkyria name from.”
On her goal for 2026
“I’m very excited to see where Bayley’s and my story goes forward. So that’s where my focus is right now. She brings out my inner idiot, so we see how much more of that comes out in 2026.”
