Je’Von Evans appears to have suffered an injury on this week’s WWE Raw as his match with El Grand Americano was stopped early. Monday night’s show saw the new Raw star battle Americano. The bout took place toward the end of the episode’s second hour.
Evans and Americano went back and forth a bit and the match went to commercial after Evans his a springboard clothesline on the outside. When the match came back from break, Evans was on the floor holding his wrist with officials checking him out. The referee called for the bell and awarded the match to Americano.
There is no word at this time as the nature of the injury. He was favoring his right shoulder while being helped to the back, but neither the nature nor severity of the matter has been confirmed at this time. You can see a clip from the end of the bout below.
Evans was brought to Raw and “signed” with the brand on the January 5th episode. He was previously on WWE NXT where he was one of the top male starts of the developmental brand.
On behalf of 411, our best wishes to Evans and hopes that he’s okay.
