On the latest episode of Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy, the TNA star talked about John Cena not being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. This year’s Hall of Fame class includes AJ Styles and Stephanie McMahon so far. While there are still more names to announce, it seems unlikely that Cena will be inducted as headliners tend to be announced early and Hardy things he would be “a little too much” for the 2026 class. You can check out some highlights below:

On Cena Not Being Inducted This Year:

“Cena seems like a little too much for this year. I mean, in theory they could, but I almost think they hold Cena off till next year.”

On Cena Going In In 2027:

“I don’t know. The Saudi Arabia Hall of Fame is certainly going to be interesting, no doubt about it.”

On The Undertaker being part of the AAA creative team:

“There was a lot of times, I know whenever he did the American Badass, he was just so happy that he could speak and talk. Because he said like, ‘Whenever I was Undertaker, I wanted to talk and be able to say cool things and be more myself. But my character did not lend to that, so I couldn’t do that.’ So I’m sure he’s enjoying it. I’m sure he’s glad he’s retired. He’s no longer an active wrestler, and he can just be him.

“I know that is something he always had this desire to do, so I’m glad he’s getting to do it now. I’m sure he enjoys it, and from what I’ve heard from my conversations with Jeremy Borash doing AAA stuff together, hey worked together quite a bit there [in] AAA. He really enjoys this, and he likes teaching and mentoring people and trying to make the quality of the show better.”
