Matt Riddle Not Working NJPW’s World Tag League
October 26, 2017 | Posted by
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, despite previous reports, Matt Riddle is not working NJPW’s World Tag League. He was supposed to team with Jeff Cobb, but at this time, there’s no word who Jeff Cobb will be teaming with. Word is that Riddle had been in talks to do the tour and it was just about a done deal, but before being finalized, things changed. It’s believed that Bushiroad, the New Japan parent company, found out about his UFC test failures for marijuana. In Japan, marijuana has more of a stigma than in most places (and is why Matt Sydal has not been brought back), and the deal fell apart.
