Mercedes Martinez Medically Cleared, Will Compete On AEW Dark: Elevation

Mercedes Martinez has been out of action since the summer, but she has been medically cleared to return per Tony Khan. Khan revealed during the AEW Full Gear media call (per Fightful) that Martinez, the ROH World Women’s World Champion, cleared yesterday to compete again after she was out of action due to an unspecified injury since late July.

Khan noted that Martinez was eager to compete on the next episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, which was taped last night, to get “warmed up” ahead of ROH Final Battle on December 10th, where she is looking forward to defending her championship.

Martinez last defended her championship at ROH Death Before Dishonor against Serena Deeb on July 23rd. She worked a match against Dita VonStarr at NEW Zero Fear the day after, which was her last bout to date.
