Mike Bailey Reflects On Ladder Match Win At AEW Redemption

Mike Bailey picked up a huge with on AEW Redemption in the six-way #1 contenders ladder match, something they reflected on in a new video. As noted, Bailey defeated The Beast Mortos, Nick Wayne, El Clon, Jack Perry, and Komander at Sunday’s PPV to earn a shot at Kyle Fletcher’s AEW International Championship.

Bailey posted their latest vlog to YouTube on Monday and during the vidoe, they commented on winning the ladder match and earning the title shot.

“I was saying that this was real f**king cool,” Bailey began (per Fightful). “And again, looking into the crowd and seeing mostly people, well, not mostly. But seeing a significant amount of people that I know personally, that I’ve gone out to dinner with, that I’ve been to their house, that I’ve wrestled with, it’s a pretty cool thing.”

They continued, “And my first time in the Bell Center, standing on top of a ladder, getting a guaranteed shot at the winner of the match between Bandido and Kyle Fletcher tonight for the International Championship. It’s a big deal in Lil Speedy’s career. We’re doing it.”

Mike Bailey will challenge Fletcher for the AEW International Championship at Grand Slam Mexico on August 5th.
