Major League Wrestling (MLW) announced this week that the promotion will be returning to Mexico City on May 1 for a rematch with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). The two organizations are going to meet for their second annual MLW vs. CMLL event at Arena México.
The two promotions had their first meeting last year. Per the announcement, “The event follows the success of last year’s inaugural showcase, which marked the first meeting between the two promotions and drew strong interest from fans in Mexico and abroad. Building on that momentum, this year’s card is expected to further spotlight the collaboration between MLW and lucha libre.”
The upcoming event will be hosted by Arena México, where the first MLW vs. CMLL event was also held. Additional details on the show, including participating athletes and matches, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
