More Backstage Details About Chris Jericho Returning to AEW, Arrived at Venue Right Before the Broadcast Began

The pro wrestling world is buzzing from the shocking return of Chris Jericho to AEW last night on Dynamite. PWInsider has more details on what led to Jericho’s surprising return to AEW.

PWInsider reports that the belief backstage is that Chris Jericho came to terms with AEW for a new deal. Also, it’s said that Jericho was not present backstage until right before Dynamite went on the air. Jericho was reportedly driven straight to the venue about two minutes before the broadcast was supposed to start, and he went straight to gorilla position before his entrance.

Jericho only appeared once during the opening segment, saying only four words, “Winnipeg! AEW! I’m home!” That was all fans heard from Jericho last night.

Additionally, PWInsider notes that Jericho did film additional content for AEW after he returned from the ring, and he also took part in a photo shoot. It’s also said that he made the rounds backstage, introducing himself to talents he didn’t know.
