More WWE vs. TNA News: More on Jarrett/Hogan Mishap, WWE Surprised At Jeff Hardy’s Jump, RAW Overrun Denied

– Contrary to earlier reports, Jeff Jarrett did not go off script last night. The idea was for Jarrett to do a face promo because Jarrett, Mick Foley, Dixie Carter, and Hulk Hogan were all supposed to be face entities. Hogan’s plan was to “out-face” Jarrett, so he ended up surprised when he got booed. Hogan is not supposed to be a heel at this point.

– Jeff Hardy had a verbal agreement to return to WWE, so him jumping to TNA last night surprised many within WWE. Vince McMahon was no-selling it today. Hardy has apparently signed a short-term deal with TNA.

– RAW did not end up getting the 20 minute overrun that they wanted because USA Network had already sold that time to movie people and they would have been upset had they had to start at 11:20 and not 11:05.
