NJPW New Japan Cup Final 2026 Results: Callum Newman Wins Tournament, Konosuke Takeshita Defends TV Title

As previously reported, Callum Newman won the finals of the NJPW New Japan Cup final today, beating Yuya Uemura to become the youngest New Japan Cup winner in company history. He’ll now face Yota Tsuji for the IWGP Heavyweight Title at Sakura Genesis.

Elsewhere, AEW star Konosuke Takeshita successfully defended his NJPW World TV Title in an opening challenge in the opening bout. Yujiro Takahashi answered the open challenge, but Takeshita was still victorious.

Additionally, New Japan confirmed ahead of today’s show that Satoshi Kojima was forced to withdraw due to injury, having suffered damage in his match on March 20. He was replaced by Masatora Yasuda in the second bout on today’s card.

* Masatora Yasuda, El Desperado & Taichi beat Tatsuya Matsumoto, YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto at 8:57.
* The House of Torture (Yoshinobu Kanemaru, SHO & DOUKI) beat Ryusuke Taguchi, Master Wato & YOH at 8:26.
* The United Empire (Great-O-Khan & HENARE) defeated Tomoaki Honma & Shota Umino at 10:46.
* The United Empire (Jakob Austin Young, Francesco Akira & Jake Lee) defeated Unbound Company (Taiji Ishimori, Drilla Moloney & Shingo Takagi) at 8:42.
* The House of Torture (Dick Togo, Don Fale & Ren Narita) defeated Toru Yano, Aaron Wolf & Oleg Boltin at 7:14.
* T.M.D.K. (Kosei Fujita, Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr.) beat Unbound Company (Daiki Nagai, OSKAR, Yuto-Ice & Yota Tsuji) at 8:44.
* New Japan Cup 2026 Final: Callum Newman beat Yota Tsuji at 25:52
