Notes On Dolph Ziggler & Aliyah’s WWE Releases
A new report has a couple of notes on the WWE releases of Dolph Ziggler and Aliyah. As reported, the two were among a wave of releases made by the company today. Fightful Select has a couple of details about the release of the two.
According to the report, Ziggler’s contract was originally set to go until next summer. It adds that Ziggler was ready to leave years ago but was talked into staying. Back in 2019, there was speculation that he was exiting the company to the point that he removed his ring name from his social media accounts, but he ultimately signed on for more time.
Regarding Aliyah, she was reportedly “rarely if ever” brought to TV since she and Raquel Rodriguez lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, and wasn’t factored into anything on a creative level.
